Founders Breakfast Stout in Iowa?

    Has anyone located any Founders Breakfast Stout in Iowa as of yet?

    Its not supposed to hit shelves until Sept 4th according to Founders website, I know some one was talking about it getting accidentally released early in a state or two but was pulled. I wouldnt expect to find it for another couple of weeks and possibly later in parts of Iowa as I know some of the Founders releases have been slower in different parts of the state.

    My understanding was that Iowa was not getting this at all until they increased production in a few years. I say this because I remember reading a post about this on Facebook that Founders responded to. It really sounded like if it was coming here it would be a few kegs here and there. I may have to scour Facebook for this quote

    Ejayz-- I did a quick search on their facebook page and didn't see anything but there is way too much stuff going on there so I may have missed it. Ia Beer Baron's webpage http://iabeerbaron.wordpress.com/2012/08/01/distribution-news-lagunitas-stone-dogfish-founders/ says it should be hitting shelves in Iowa and he usually has pretty good information. We've gotten Double Trouble and Cerise which are from the same release style and also have gotten Curmudgeon and Devil Dancer which are more limited (according to Founders) so I'd assume we'd get at least a little Breakfast Stout, now KBS may be a different story next year but I heard when Founders originally started in Iowa that they intended on getting that here too. Who knows though, it'll be disappointing if they don't send any this way.

    You are correct, saw a sign at the local hy-vee yesterday that says it's arriving Sept 4th. (Today)

    Thanks for the info airmike! I owe you a beer sometime. They fixed the SKU issue it was over $11 for a 4pk when I got there.

    Still waiting on this in Waterloo/CF....Nothing yet. As is typical, nobody at the CF HyVee Wine and Spirits has any idea when it is coming (We never got Cerise or Devil Dancer, they told me it was a distributor error). Hope we actually get this, this is the Founders beer I have been waiting for ever since we finally got distribution in our state. Unfortunately our beer stores here seem to lack people with real beer knowledge (except one or two guys there).

    Luckily, I will be in Chicago this weekend and will stop at Binny's on the way out of town where they should have some.
