Great news for the west coasters, but this will be a big hit on my trade arsenal.

You all can make up for it by sending some RR to MO.

Awesome, this should make getting their limited release stuff so much more easy on the East Coast.

Hopefully they send some fresh Pale Ale/IPA to us. Bell's should follow suit.

I was wondering if this would happen. Seemed like they brought quite a few kegs when they were here for the CBC and upcoming FW Fest.

I applaud this! Now if we can just get Boulevard 750's I would be a happy guy.

Gone. Toronado and Hamiltons had a bunch of Founders, perhaps other bars I didn't know about.

As a Michigan native, this would delight me to no end.

Unless it's SoCal only. In which case I will be filled with murderous rage.

Figured lol. Oh well, let's hope Founders speeds up the distro so that we get more before the end of the year

They also sent some kegs to the Blue Palms re-opening here in LA. Awesome news!

Sorry, did I miss something? This seems pretty non-committal to me. Is the fact that California has been "on their radar" really that big of news? I would imagine that California, by virtue of the sheer size of the market, has been on their radar for a very very long time.

Call me negative I guess, but reading that meager tweet doesn't really convince me that Founders is any closer to coming to California than it was 5 years ago.

Seeing Founders kegs around town is definitely a good sign though.

Does this give you any more hope?

“Four or five years we did 5,000 barrels and this year, we’re on pace to do 85,000 barrels.”

Didn't we used to get Boulevard 750's? San Diego did, at least.

I never saw anything from Blvd here. That sucks if I missed it. I have to have my parents in KS buy them and send to me.

This is awesome news if it's true. Don't even care if we get special releases. Anything from them coming our way is a good thing.

We did briefly, for a span of maybe six months in either 2008 or 2009. I know some of them hung out a little longer, but I don't think we ever saw BBQ or Saison Brett, and we only got one vintage of the Smokestack Imperial Stout.

This would really deflate a lot of trade weight for those midwesterners.

Man, you had me all excited for a minute there. This seems as nebulous, noncommittal a "coming to CA" as can be.
  31. DrAwkward82

    DrAwkward82 Apr 16, 2005 California

Agreed! There are plenty of breweries like Southern Tier or Boulevard where the special releases are pretty much all I'm interested in, but just about everything Founders does is top-notch. If all we got were standard releases like regular Breakfast Stout, Porter and Old Curmudgeon, I'd still be thrilled.

We still have long strange trippel and tank 7 along with 4 packs of their dark strong Belgian in sac. Tank 7 is pretty wizard tho. Just an outstanding saison and is the base of saison with brett. Comparable is elder brett from epic brewing, which did see limited distro to so cal.

What are you trying to do, take all the fun out of the internets? By, like, insisting on some confirmation that a rumor is true before getting all excited about it?

Sheesh, you probably don't even believe my online girlfried is real. Did I mention how she died tragically, but not before leaving me an inspirational message to continue my quest for the Heisman trophy? Oh wait, that wasn't me.
