Founders Curmudgeon’s Better Half Returning

Awesome! I don't think they'll do CBS this year. I'm hoping for their Imperial Stout aged in bourbon-barrels!

 

yes yes yes yes yes yes yes. That is such a great beer as is. Would love to try it barrel aged.

This is some of the more exciting beer news I've seen in a while! I absolutely loved this beer and will be stocking up heavily.

 

Good price point too, IMO. Cheaper than KBS and CBS. Being available in 12oz (like CBS was supposed to be) is going to be fantastic!

 

Excited to hear this! I love CBS, but was hoping they would release this again at some point instead. So damn good!

Pumped about this. This is the only beer I was not able to get in the Barrel Aged series/Backstage Series to date.

 

Never got to try this one as I lived in Montana when it released. Looking forward to it!

Take it for what it's worth, a Founder's rep told me here in CT. a month ago that CBS 4pks. are coming November.

I need some BA FIS though! Lots of people requesting that one.
Local store still has some FIS dated 12/16/16 and its absolutely tasting amazing at the moment. One of the all-time greats.

Had a '13, '14 or '15 on tap about 4 months ago. Can't exactly remember. It was outstanding. But I can't find any in bottles Hopefully they'll bring it back soon. And I agree, it's one of the best Imperial Stouts ever. Without any flavors added.

 

By Founder's rep do you mean Founder's management, or a distributor? Founders previously said no CBS until 2019, and at the time they said this it would already have been in barrels if it were coming out in 2018, so I'm believing 2019. A 12oz release would be great news whenever it happens though.

Betting the November release is BA Imperial, hopefully Rum BA.

 

Haven't ever had the opportunity to try it, was hoping they might do this after announcing they were discontinuing Curmudgeon.

He said he worked for Founder's, and was from MA. At my local Total Wine decked out in Founder's gear with 5 beers to sample. I was surprised myself, he brought up the topic of CBS. I was asking when FIS was coming back! Lol.

 

Awesome news. Great format and price. I gladly wait until 2019 for CBS if it means 12 oz bottles.
