From the Jacksonville newspaper: Founders Brewing beers coming to Florida Founders Brewing of Grand Rapids, Mich., will be shipping its beers into Florida soon. The maker of popular beers such as Breakfast Stout and Centennial IPA will be distributing some of its brews statewide via Brown Distributing within about a month. No statement was released, but the annoucement was made to Brown employees Friday, according to a source. Founders recently announced an expansion into Texas beginning in April. The brewery's beers currently are available in Georgia. Founders is in the middle of a $26 million expansion at its Grand Rapids taproom and production facility, according to MLive Media Group in Michigan. The expansion will give the brewery an additional 165,000 barrels of annual production capacity, which would boost Founders’ total annual beer output to about 340,000 barrels per year, MLive reports. Founders is also negotiating with distributors in Maryland, with Delaware, Tennessee and West Virginia previously eyed for 2013 expansion as well.
