    From the Jacksonville newspaper:

Founders Brewing beers coming to Florida

Founders Brewing of Grand Rapids, Mich., will be shipping its beers into Florida soon.
The maker of popular beers such as Breakfast Stout and Centennial IPA will be distributing some of its brews statewide via Brown Distributing within about a month. No statement was released, but the annoucement was made to Brown employees Friday, according to a source.
Founders recently announced an expansion into Texas beginning in April. The brewery's beers currently are available in Georgia.
Founders is in the middle of a $26 million expansion at its Grand Rapids taproom and production facility, according to MLive Media Group in Michigan. The expansion will give the brewery an additional 165,000 barrels of annual production capacity, which would boost Founders’ total annual beer output to about 340,000 barrels per year, MLive reports.
Founders is also negotiating with distributors in Maryland, with Delaware, Tennessee and West Virginia previously eyed for 2013 expansion as well.
The brewery recently signed a distribution deal to ship its Centennial IPA to Ontario, Canada.

So KBS will be spread even thinner next year... 8)

Mostly j/k... Additional capacity is great for Founders but they still need more barrels for their limited brews. Good thing bourbon is hot right now!

I'll take WnB over FBS any day...I'll welcome KBS with open arms, though.

To each his own, not a fan of WnB. FBS on the other hand I can get down with on the regs.

I read in another article that Brown will be distributing Founders around Florida beginning in May. I am looking forward to this, having never tried any beers from Founders but heard so many good things. Just curious, about how much does Founders charge for their beers in most retail stores?

I wonder how long before we start seeing KBS and their Backstage releases? Will we be getting this year's in time for distro?

I wouldn't count on FL seeing any KBS this year, but who knows. I think there's a much better chance for us to see whatever Backstage release(s) they put out later this year.

I have some pretty high level contacts within Brown. I have been trying to get some info but so far they've been tight-lipped. I will be at an event with a few of their folks next weekend and will try to get some more info.
