they hand them out at like 10ish am
All you planning to come at 7am get here now. I got here at 12am and i'm around Num 150
Left Detroit at 1:30. I'll be there in an hour. If I don't get a case I will be livid. How many cases are they saying are available?
Yeah what he said. I thought shooting for a 5 am arrival was playing it safe.
How does it go from showing up at 10am for cbs gets you some. To getting there at 7am for kbs gets you nothing?
You guys know this beer gets distributed, right?
They usually pass out the tickets later in the morning closer to the opening, but with the line as long as it sounds who knows...
Yeah of course but I took myself off the local lists because I figured I was getting more than enough. Doh
Oof, that's rough. I'm about an hour out. Hope I'll be ok.
My guys are about an hour or so out, if they left on time. I was counting on them scoring some so I didn't have to chase it down. Hopefully they come out with some.
They said around 300 get here asap don't wait till 7!
Carleton or Kevin, who is getting me birthday 4 pack of this beer?
I'm in the very end of the lot, at the gate, and counted roughly 175 in front of me. Guestament.....
With about 100+ behind me....
Alright, whoever is in front start counting off.
They got here at 5pm
So who is gonna get me a 4 pack?
There are about 400+ people in line right now.
If you're not in line you might as well forget it.
The end of the KBS line: http://instagr.am/p/H_SLEatvL_/
Unreal. I got here at 5:20 and am at least 100 people behind where I was for CBS and I was number 350.
Lots of line jumping already too
We drove around the parking lot at 5:30 am and the line was to the front of the building. We decided to not wait in line as there isn't much of a point now. Kinda sucks to have been in a hotel in the city and still not make the cut even at 5:30. C'est la vie, I guess. I doubt I'll try again in future years if this is the trend. Way too damn cold for me to be that dedicated and wait outside for 10 hours.
This is crazy, we got there at 6am and the line was wrapped almost completely around the brewery. Decided to come home and try the taproom in a couple hours. Unbelievable.
Well wasn't expecting 500 people there at 5:30am. Jesus Christ.
Quit complaining should of got here earlyer. Karma for people who were raging on me for wanting to bring a tent. That's what you get for being lazy and sleeping in a nice comfy hotel room
That a way to make friends on BA!
Lol, no shit, right? I was about to post something a little more abrasive but I'll just agree with you and leave it at that.
Hater goin hate. All im saying is karma is a bitch and quit your birching. U know this is a big event. Stop making excuses for lazyness
Oh, trust me...I had WAY more to say, but the point of this forum is to be a community of beer enthusiasts and not burn bridges--at least from my point of view. I'd go join a national car forum if I wanted to post with pricks that have huge e-peen.
U mad bro?
No, because the people getting me a few cases are first in line. Why so serious?
I'm intrigued by your logic that if someone doesn't get in line for a beer more than 12 hours before the release they are lazy. What scientific methods did you use to come up with this?
Seriously, ridiculous. Good on everyone who got here early enough to get a case.
Anybody not getting their full allotment that I can buy some kbs from and throw some good beers on top? Bm me.
Same goes for me. Just shoot me a BM if your interested! Thanks!
What he said. I'll throw in a black ops if anybody is interested
HOLY SH#T. Pulled in to park at 4:45am and was astounded to see the line wrapping around to the front of the pub! Had my buddy hold our place in line and did a rough head count of about 400 (while getting called for line jumping...) (another 50-75 showed up behind us during that time) and we decided there was no way. Sucks to drive 3hrs and turn around to go 3hrs back, but I guess I kind of admire the guys passed out in their chairs/tents all night.
Just goes to show the game has completely changed. I doubt I'll try again next year if rolling in before 5am doesn't even give me a chance...that's about as extreme as I want to go. Add me to the local Chi-suburb ISO list I'd suppose.
Cheers to everyone sticking it out in the cold and remember to be safe!
