Pulled from their Facebook page, under the comment thread on the photo of their employee filling barrels.

Founders Brewing Co. (Official) Scott Brown: We are not going to share exact volumes at this point (or perhaps at all), but we have made substantially more. The barrels that we use come from more than one distiller

Sorry, looks like this comment was geared towards the 2014 release. No word on increased volumes of KBS this year... my bad..

Might as well put my name on the waiting list for the 2014 release by the bottle shops near my house. If I'm lucky, the list wont be too long yet.

The 2014 batch is already not as good as the 2013 batch.

Didn't they say last year that there would be 3x the amount for 2013?

Downtown Bar & Grill would be awesome if it were $2 cheaper for all draft beers (an 8oz of KBS was $8.50). They do have an insane bottle list though with 3 Floyd's stuff!

Yeah but Downtown is in Brooklyn, which hypothetically should be cheaper than Manhattan. Plus the prices at downtown don't reflect the other bars in the same area. 61 Local and Strong Place are MUCH cheaper (and Strong Place might have the best happy hour in all of Brooklyn/possibly the city - 2 for 1 beers and $1 oysters.)

The increase is a must when you increase your territory. It's still going to be hard as hell to get your hands on them.

To be fair, I thought the 2012 batch of KBS was the best one yet. Significantly better than 2010 or 2011.

Last time KBS was on anywhere in GA it kicked in 23 minutes. The guy pouring literally pulled the tap handle and almost never cut it off, just kept putting glasses under it. I don't think a keg of KBS anywhere would last more than an hour.

It's a great beer, can't argue that, but after being able to have it over a dozen times I've moved on. Sure I'll buy a lot to trade ( I got 52 bottles in 2011) but it's not the whale for me it once was. I'm down to trade it for more harder to get stuff to anyone. Last year my final allotment netted me stuff I've never dream of having, so to me it's a trade beer now more than anything. I doubt though I can pull off what I did two years ago, money and timing won't allow it, but I'd love the spread the wealth again and land some cool unknown stuff.

Even if they tripled production, it'd still be hard to come by. It was virtually impossible to get last year and the craft market seems to have grown a lot since then.
