Founder's New Pilot System

I'm really pumped for this. I love random small batch brews. Good or bad. We all win.

 

See haters now what do you have to say?! This is gonna kill my wallet.... oh well lol

 

This is too funny. Love Founders. The first and only time I got to go to the brewery there was the usual complaining going on (no-class 3, only one class 2, whatever else haters got mad over), but it was easily the best beer experience of my life and I was just happy to be there. Now I really can't wait to go back!

 

Founders is still a production brewery, not a brewpub. Their goal is expansion and money and not the brew pub goal of making beers for only for them. Take it what you will but the days of founders being a local going or a destination brewery are over. I'll stick with three floyds and Haymarket. If I want founders i'll grab it off the shelf.

 

Why are there no class 4 beers?!?

 

Why is Haymarket the only proper noun warranting capitalization? Are you trying to tell us something subliminal? What are your thoughts on goose Island?

 

Cause THREE FLOYD'S is in indiana

 

To me sounds like founders gets to be pipeworks w/o the balls. Really good idea.

America is multilingual...and though Latin is all but dead...the meaning of ad hominem is relatively easy to dig up via the miracle of Google.

Anywho...back to the topic...Founders is awesome...I enjoy their bottled and distributed beer...and I look forward to visiting the pub for some non-bottled brews in the relatively near future.

 

As far as "haters" go, there has been plenty of criticism that has been leveled at Founders lately that has been completely unwarranted. However, there also has been plenty of criticism that is completely appropriate.

The pilot system does sound very cool.

 

Exactly. Three Floyd's had problems, but they finally listened to people and this Dld was the best it has been in years!!

Your statement seems to indicate that all of FFF problems revolved around DLD. That type of shortsightedness is why we dismiss your previous comments.

 

As did Founders for all of their releases since KBS 2012. So what's your point?

 

There are no perfect breweries. Every experience I have ever had at Three Floyds has been great.

 

Founders only has a small new system? Ugh... What about ME and MY needs. I won't get more Class 3 beers. Why can't they make MORE KBS and CBS for ME.

I know we weren't all blessed with common sense or how America and Capitalism works or about the meaning of CAPACITY CONSTRAINTS, but come on people... You can't be this naive.

I have a lot more to say but I have hope that maybe certain people are just trolling.

 

If a production brewery was their only goal it would have been much cheaper to buy some land and move the brewery. It's pretty clear that this current expansion is intended to benefit both the brewpub and production. I for one can't wait to sit in the beer garden drinking whatever Jeremy comes up with on that awesome 3bbl system.

I only float class 4 and above rapids, therefore I only drink class 4 or above beers.

Edit: Give Jeremy all the freedom he wants, and lets sit back and enjoy more pub exclusives.

 

What did they use for a pilot system before?

 

I believe, the old 30 barrel system that can be seen through the windows, behind the stage, in the taproom.

 

That is pretty large to be trying new recipes, so I see why they got the pilot system.
