Ok, seems more reasonable now.
You gave it a college try.
NO YOU MUST GIVE EXACT FIGURES AND DETAILS NOW
Glad to see you're back to the classic Shogo avatar...
Would be nice to try some of these series, i havent been able to locate a single bottle of bolt cutter, cbs or frangelic, only blushing monk i found for 19.99$.
Haha find me BCBCS or Cherry Rye and I'll swap ya
Maybe it will be vanilla bean breakfast stout....oh wait, I'm infusing that now
I much preferred 3 avatars ago.
Founders is distributed here, bcbcs is not.
Frangelic seemed odious to me, but I'm not a fan of hazelnut. I choked down one, but have no clue what I'll do with my other.
I tend to really like strong, sticky sweet barleywines. When I found Bolt Cutter at the same shop, same spot in the same cooler I paid the $22 per for a few. I just haven't found a good time to open a 15% -750ml.
Would really like Daves Not Here...
My god...Hand of Doom would make me go bat-shit crazy.
BA Frangelic Mountain Brown...
their black ipa was one of the best i've ever had. not sure it's backstage material (unless they aged it angel tears...which they might already do), but i'd love to see it show up bottled in some fashion.
Really? I never had botl cutter. I missed the release by a few weeks. Frangelic got hated on, and I thought it was okay. Ended up with 2 bottles of it, and I enjoyed it a bit myself.
Hell, I'm game with whatever as long as it's not over 14% so I can attempt to buy the shit in this bible belt state.
Over that, they could dry hop it with dog shit for all I care.
I don't really care what it is because I probably won't be able to get it. Not because it won't be distributed to my state, but because the vultures snag this backstage stuff up like it's their last meal. It's not even worth trying anymore.
I'm guessing it is Black Biscuit. I had heard that the original plan was to release Black Biscuit as the last Backstage Series release, however FMB became the fallback since there was some type of complication. Again that was just a rumor I heard. However, in this case, I'm hoping where there's smoke there's fire.
I hope that it's something that everyone needs to enter a raffle to get.
I started trading just to track down bottle of better half and loved every sip I drank while sharing with some friends on an annual fishing trip in the U.P. Frangelic was great but best in small doses, it seemed after 8oz my palate was kind of burned with artificial hazelnut. Can't wait to crack bolt cutter...next winter
Oh -- I had the SZRP of Doom last year at Sharp Edge Brasserie during Craft Beer Week in Pittsburgh.
It. Was. Yummy.
I'd love more!
God I hope not. I was SORELY disappointed with Black Biscuit.
Please let it be El Diablo del Noche.
picked up 3 bottles of bolt cutter in my fav liquor store in chicago last night. they were just sitting on the shelf
I'm drinking a Bolt Cutter now, and really enjoying it. There is some faded hop funkiness, but I'm loving the maple up front, and it's not boozy and overly sweet, as I've heard. Not a perfect beer, but I'm thinking a little cellar time will be kind.
I hope it is Black Biscuit and I hope I can actually get some.
I kind of agree with this. While distribution of Founders stuff is pretty good in the Philly area, constantly checking with distros, bottle shops, friends, etc is a royal pain in the ass, and it's all usually gone the first day it arrives. I did see Bolt Cutter at a bottle shop in south Philly, but I wasn't about to pay 30-some bucks (I think it was around $34?) for a beer so many on these threads said was not that good. I would, however, definitely buy some CBS if I happened upon some.
These markups are crazy...Bolt Cutter is $19.99 here...which seems reasonable to me...but $34? I don't know how these retailers sleep at night.
i love you man but this is one of the craziest things ive ever seen here..hopefully it is so you can give it another go and fall in love.
as for bolt cutter.. if you can get it cheap then buy it up.. in a FEW years that beer is going to be amazing. it needs yearS.
I hope it's Barrel-Aged Sumatran Mountain Brown... and i hope all these people bitching about FMB will whine and avoid it, leaving more for me.
For a reason
On a pile of our cash
Backwoods Dirty Bastard
Do y'all have silos of gold, like Scrooge McDuck?
If y'all includes me, no. If y'all does not include me, then I can only presume yes.
I enjoyed it. But when i had it last night i was 3 sheets to the wind
Its not black, just out of stock. Us Chicago guys and our mules just pre-bought all the tickets and volume, so while it is coming out there is none available and no one will get any unless you trade with us... MMMWWWAAAHHHHH HAAAAAA HAAAAAAA...!!!!!!!
? Is that like Barrel Aged Backwoods Bastard?
FMB 2, Hazel-nuff for ya?
But seriously, I hope it's Black Biscuit.
Backwoods is BA Dirty Bastard. I'm not sure what "Backwoods Dirty Bastard" is supposed to be, other than what it already is.
Ahh yes thanks for the clarification. It was in reference to the now dead Barrel aged Black Note thread that was starting to get some real legs a few days ago...
