I'm sure it was a joke. It's like saying Bourbon Barrel Black Note. No need for the BB or BA in front of it.

Edit: Damn! I was beat by a second!

Another beer I'll buy to trade. Only to have the trade value drop faster than Facebook stock prices.

Don't count on CBS - it was already stated that CBS will only be a taproom release for sometime into the future...

I'd love it if it was BA Sumatra Brown. That shit was a complete surprise and better than KBS during the KBS release last year.

they released two "okay beers"(Frangelic Mt Brown and Boltcutter) for the last two backstage releases... they better do something awesome or I will have lost my interest with Founders Backstage series... Come on Founders... bring the heat like the beer nerds know that you can!

Had a short chat with a Founders rep in Boston tonight, he mentioned that a barrel aged version of Double Trouble (750 ml) is set to be released in the Spring. Mhmmmmmmmmm

Interesting that they pushed double trouble to April and this rumored release of looking glass. Seems to make sense to release them alongside each other.

Makes sense. They've released a fruit beer, imperial stout, old ale, brown ale, and a barleywine, IPA is probably the only other major beer type they haven't released yet for this series. I didn't get any Looking Glass when it was on tap, but if it's anything like Burton Baton, I'll be very much ISO.

Hopefully if the Backstage release is an IPA, they can actually serve dark beers at the Black Party.

I'm almost 100% sure it will be Hand of Doom, which has been at the top of their list to release since the beginning. If not, it could be Lookin Glass, or more likely something not BA. But Hand of Doom will be out this year, and it will change lives!

I have posted in this in the previous speculation threads, but I will post it again.

I hope Founders messes with everybody and releases a bourbon barrel aged Light Beer. I will be the first of its kind, and make people appreciate the other less than well received Backstage Pass beers.

Looking glass is a DIPA aged in Brandy Barrels. It one of the best beers I have ever had. Only twice at Founders.

I know both Looking Glass and Hand of Doom have gotten great reviews, but I cannot imagine Double Trouble holding up well in barrels given the malt and hop profile. Why would anyone put DT in barrels before Founders Imperial Stout?

I agree, if the next release is any variety of barrel aged IPA, it will be pretty disappointing considering all of their other options. Then again, why do I care because I have only personally seen 1 of the backstage series to purchase... I don't anticipate seeing any more nor do I have the drive to chase that crap down.
