The big new beer is a hazelnut KBS for March

“The perfectly balanced and decadent drinking experience of KBS meets the classic taste of hazelnut. Taking this bourbon barrel-aged stout to a new level, KBS Hazelnut allows the existing premium coffee and chocolate notes to soar to new heights when accented by the nutty sweetness of hazelnut. 12.0% ABV.

Releasing in our taprooms in March (and shortly thereafter nationally), KBS Hazelnut will be available in 4-packs of 12oz bottles and on draft as our first Barrel-Aged Series release of 2022.

This is our fourth KBS variant after Espresso, Maple Mackinac Fudge and Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa – and we truly believe it’s our best one yet!”

IMHO, Founders Barrel releases in 2021 were their weakest lineup. I don’t feel like 2022 is off to a good start.

Reds rye is year round again. Interesting. Never knew all day had variations. WTF is all day vacay?

Any news on Founders doing the right thing? After the law suit I have not had their beers but will go back when there is evidence they are being better employers.

    Enjoy

Im no HUGE Founders fan but You're tripping . Their Porter, KBS, Underground Brown or whatever shine enough to attract every damn crow in sight.
That being said i also haven't gotten shit from Founders in a while but i did get a CBS and Mothership Series BA Imperial Stout sent to me by 2 awesome people on here. The CBS was great and I haven't had the Mothership Series yet but can't wait

I miss FIS and applaud FBS being a perennial, but just keep Dirty Bastard in 6 packs year round and i'll be a happy customer. That beer is an American treasure.

I have zero interest in artificial hazelnut flavor. Hard pass for me! Use real hazelnuts, not artificially flavored coffee. Not surprised, just disappointed. Even Prairie uses artificial flavors/ingredients from time-to-time now. Except, they still charge $10-15 for a single 12 oz bottle.

I think it was a brewery only release this year. I came here to see if it was on the schedule. I would kill a couple of 15 packs a year. Great beer.

Cant wait for that 4 Giants variant. Founders is on a constant rotation in my house. It’s easy to complain about and nitpick the best, but they’ve made it to where they are for a reason and I’m glad to continue to enjoy their products.

What is it exactly you need to hear to confirm in your own head that they’re “doing the right thing”? I’m honestly asking. What’s your criteria? This isn’t the first time you’ve commented this way on a thread regarding Founders so I would really like to know.

Thats cuz majority beer drinkers literally have 0 clue what good ingredients are that isnt hops, grain or yeast. Could be kirkland artificial hazlenut extract in a stout and they go apeshit.

if you gave a shit youd call them and ask not wait for an answer

Tracy took his bag and left never to open his mouth. If he really gave a fuck about the issue he woulda gone to trial. Signed off on no one at being at fault. Why do that if there was a real issue that made himfeel violated?
Said this already. Keep missing out on the beer more for everyone else.

I maintain that KBS should die and KBS Espresso should be the new standard. KBS tastes like stale coffee compared to Espresso.

I still have KBS in my fridge, but my opinion on this hasn't changed.

I guess maybe I haven't paid much attention but I thought Red's was always year round, just draft only. Possibly my favorite Founders beer.

I really enjoyed that one as well as Azacca, 15 packs of those for $15-16 was one of the best deals in the beer world.

 But be careful out there if you do find it, because, according to
A study on kinetics of beer ageing and development of methods for predicting the time to detection of flavour changes in beer you might wind up with a beer flavored with
... don't know what it is, exactly, but it sure don't sound good.:grimacing:
