Stearns Long Beach has dirty basterd, porter, centennial ipa. I think the IPA is dated Dec 15th (ish) I used to drink Founders all the time before I moved to the west coast. The centennial ipa is good just much maltier thicker tasting then the ipas here like the Beachwoods and such..

Posts no, I heard it from buddies that were downtown sending me pictures while I was in the office.

South Bay got in Backwoods and Project Pam today, as well as the regular stuff, no word on KBS there.

Picked up a six pack of Centennial IPA last week. Last time I had this was back in one of my NYC visit 3 years ago. I thought it was tasting very good. Tasted different from 3 years ago. The bottle I had the other night was very fresh. $10 for a six pack, not bad. My local also got the 12 pack in cans. I think I might have to get it in cans next time. This will go into my semi annual rotation. A good mix with my west coast & east coast (Brooklyn's) ipa's. Breakfast Stout should be available next week.

hmm. so then. i wasn't delusional for suggesting they probably held some KBS for the anticipated S-CA entry?

KBS comes out sometimes in the spring. So I'm gonna say we will not see any here till them. Breakfast Stout is available at the end of the year. So when it shows up at our local next week that may be the one time and only for this year.

you did see like 6 posts above SDReaper mentions locations with KBD? i mean unless "SD" stands for South Detroit or something? Founders entered Northern CA in the fall & we saw limited KBS too. they were bottled last March (2015).

KBS showed up last week at at-least 4 stores local to me in Ventura County, went pretty fast tho. I was more excited about Backwoods and Pam.

    LOL

Reading is hard. The Bay Area got 2015 KBS in October and San Diego is seeing 2015 KBS in January. I can't speak for Orange County since I'm not there, but I'm assuming they're getting 2015 KBS as well, based on the reports of "KBS in store" we've been seeing right here on BA.

KBS was at Handy Market (don't go there) yesterday. They were selling four packs. But don't go there because it's a secret.

Got a chance to try some Founders stuff in Camarillo. No KBS but I had the Rye IPA, Centennial, Dirty Bastardy, Porter, Nitro Oatmeal and Breakfast Stout. It was some good drinking.

Picked up some Founders six packs from a couple stores in the Inland Empire. They had Centennial IPA, Pale Ale, Porter, All Day IPA, and Dirty Bastard. That was last week, this week I bought a four pack of Founders Breakfast Stout and one bottle of Project Pam, both were limits, one four pack and one bottle.

Anyone else try Breakfast Stout? I had a bottle purchased in San Diego, and it was incredibly mediocre. A friend in Minneapolis confirms that this year has been extremely hit or miss. Curious what others' experiences have been with Breakfast Stout this year

I haven't been wowed by this year's release and I've had about two 4-packs. That's not to say it isn't good. Perhaps Highland Park and Beachwood have spoiled me. I hope Imperial Stout is better.

Bought 2 4pks and nearly done. I think it's good for what it is, would I grab it again? Yes, but I wouldn't rush to the store to get it.

It could be I've been spoiled by other stouts. I remember being blown away by Breakfast Stout a few years ago, and loved last year's batch(es). You're right about Beachwood, too. Their Robusta Rhymes porter was so simple, but so delicious

Had Breakfast stout on tap over the weekend, honestly not very impressed. Felt like it was lacking coffee notes and a bit bitter.preferred Modern Times Devils Teeth easily. Passed on 4-packs that were being sold. Am I the only one that doesn't care for it?

*edit, location was The Cellar Tasting Room
