Nope. Cooler was empty. Guy ahead of me in line asked about it and was told they were saving it for the party. I'm sure it's still available at the bottleshops that got it.

Cool. I got two six-packs on Monday, but was hoping to snag one for a friend today when I get a Brew 1000. Oh well.

Not true, at least as of an hour ago. I just picked up another 6-pack for a coworker this morning.

I swung by the U Village qfc on my way home and they've got a stack of cases on the sales floor by the singles.

Good to know. I'd gladly give up a sixer for my buddy, but this way I don't have to worry about trying to get more next week.

Wonder if any CC will make it down to Vancouver. Love that beer. 1000 sounds pretty limited.

I bought two cases at the brewery yesterday. Plenty of Cowiche sales while I was there. No 22oz bottles though.

Stopped by for Brew 1000 and they were putting out more cans.

    Happy buddy.

Good. I don't know whose idea that was but it was clearly a bad one.

Plenty of Cowiche Canyon 6 packs when I was there earlier. Also heard some rumors about a Cherry B-bomb variant.....

Might have been the craziest Fremont line I've seen in a while. Went almost out to the sidewalk. Love Cowiche, but with a fridge full of cans I wasn't standing in that shit.

Line? What time? I stopped in around 3pm and there were like two people in front of me.

Line was at 5:30 maybe. I was waiting for about half an hour for it to die down but it just got worse and worse until I bailed. No sense in waiting for that when I have plenty of Cowiche at home.

Yes, but do you have BA Brew 1000 at home? C'est incroyable...

Nope. I'll drink it on tap but really have lost any interest in buying and cellaring bottles of those styles at home these days.

Very nice. I'm not really into cellaring either. I get a bottle of these very special releases, maybe at most two if I'm particularly fond of the brewer and/or style, enjoy it without distraction at home, and move on. As Thoreau said, even though he was a teetotaler, "Simplify, simplify, simplify."

The 1000 went faaaaaaast. Don't cellar that stuff - it's sweet enough as is.

Even CC B-Bomb lasted most of a weekend, and without bottle limits. This is indeed a worrying development.

CC B-Bomb had a 6 bottle limit and the bottle count was much higher.

Rusty Nail still wins for quickest selling Fremont beer. Super small run since it was 1 per person.

The bottle count, I grant, must have been higher, but there was no bottle limit at the UBG. I remember this quite well. It was a 6 bottle limit for the KDS variants, but no bottle limit for CC B-Bomb. That's why it didn't last through the weekend of its release. Hand trucks (and douche-bags) were involved, unfortunately.

Nope, that lasted 2 days. Seems like this takes the cake (ignoring saved supplies and distro, but Rusty also sold at the Pinebox too).

Thoughts from those that tried it? Less american barley wine bitterness than OBR?

    Big, boozy and sweet.
My recollection was rusty lasted hours, and was never sold at pine box.

This one is an English, so no bitterness. It's sweet, almost to a point where it's cloying. It's somewhat thin, and a little bit rough around the edges. Booziness shows a little bit. Not great, but still a good beer. I think it'll round out nicely with some time.

bummer it went so fast. at least the trade boards aren't blowing up with brew 1000 FT's (at least not yet).

i missed out on this one and that's okay. bottle count may be low, but i'm sure we'll still see plenty of opportunities to drink this around town. hell, we've been drinking OBR for how many years now?

I'm sure it's still on tap at the brewery. $4 for a 6 oz. pour was nice.

Interesting, I actually thought it was the thickest of any Fremont. Definitely sweet though. Thought it was great.
