Fresh Hop 2020

It's definitely better than the other Sig, but still not stellar. Also bottom half.

 

Moving on now to my second can of Cowiche Canyon (out of 12). After crushing a crowler of Harvest the Void, I am not taking my own advice to @66jzmstr to pace myself. Will be testing @derftron’s theory that fresh hops fade after 2-3 days, as I expect to have some Cowiche on hand for 2-3 weeks (if I’m able to exercise any self-discipline). Cheers!

I did not see any Cowiche when I went out on my lengthy bike ride this afternoon.

But I did find cans of Bend Brewing Fresh Trop at New Seasons near Orenco Station.

I eagerly look forward to tearing into one of those cans, after a shower to rinse off the sweat from that aforementioned bike ride.

 

For those of you around the Bend area, Sunriver's Zero Hour (Citra fresh hop hazy) should be at the pubs tomorrow, and I believe then picked up by Matelis for the Portland area on Tuesday. D'Kine, our Mosaic fresh hop IPA, should be out either this coming weekend or at the start of the next week. Cheers!

 

Storm Breaker's Fresh Hop Saison was shockingly good. Continues SB's run of fantastic FH beers.

 

The best fresh hop I had tonight was Cloudburst’s Ultrawet (Simcoe & Sabro FH): earthy and dank yet coconut notes. Climb-the-bines drinkability.

Fresh Hop Ripe by Grape Lotion is probably my favorite FH this year, but almost two weeks since my first tallboy, the ephemeral nature of le fresh hop was evident, as it was still delicious, it tasted more like a pineapple-tinged hazy IPA - no longer the super-citrus eye gouge to flying spinning pile driver of grapefruit it was mid-month.

FRESH HOP IS NOT CURRENCY ON WHICH TO SIT: DRINK, OR LAMENT, AND REPENT ITS IMPERMANENCE!

Anyone had Level's Chinook FH Grisette, I Did It All For The Chinookie? Buddy grabbed a crowler for the weekend.

 

New Seasons in Vancouver had them and I understood that Portland was supposed to have gotten them but apparently that's not the case.

 

Just opened a Fresh Hop Double Crush. My palate is a little blown after all the wonderful fresh hop beers I’ve had over the last few days, but I’m not detecting any decline yet. Cheers!

 

I could swear there was a post in this forum that said they were available at New Seasons, but now I can't find that post.

I even checked the New Seasons locations near me over the weekend because of that post.

Cowiche is really the last on my list this season. Been a great FH month for sure

 

I was at one the Hawthorne one this morning and they did not have any. My friends in LA are bragging about getting it down there, so it's bit odd that nothing here.

 

Head Full of Fresh Hops just dropped at Fremont today.

Reuben's currently has crowlers of fresh hop Hazealicious and 4x16 FH double crush.

I'll be headed up that way again this evening...

 

Just ordered a 4-pack of HFOFH for pickup. Still on the lookout for any Bale Breaker FH cans that might be around, haven’t seen anything yet but haven’t been looking that hard either.
