Two day old Hop Dropn'Roll
I can get Bull and Bush stuff out of Denver in the store same day!
Pliny the Elder at the Ferry Building in SF two days after being bottled. Enjoyed with a Ligurgia foccaia sandwich with Bocalone Sopprasetta watching sailboats in the bay
Day old Day Tripper and day old pseudo
Hop Drop n Roll that was 3 days old. I'm sure it was on the shelf even sooner though.
Lawson's at the Warren Store...Heady Topper at Hunger Mtn or Wooneski Bev.
Just today (12/26) I bought a pair of Maine Beer Co.'s Another One with a born on date of 12/16. I live a solid 5-6 hours from Maine in New York. Can't wait to crack those open one of these nights!
+1 Beer Temple for fresh beer. One day old Spiteful Working For The Weekend is nothing to be trifled with.
Freshest beer, Pliny the Elder with a bottle date of 4 days. I don't remember the exact dates but I usually get Pliny the Elder with about 2 weeks on it, this day I found it 4 days from the bottle date, bought 2 bottles (2 bottle limit) , drank them the same day, delicious.
Probably Lagunitas Born Yesterday that was 2 days old.
3 day old IPA from Good People. I was trying to think through how it must be a misprint or something because I got it at a random Publix. Definitely an underrated beer.
I also used to get super-fresh Surly when they were self-distributed. I've had same-day cans of Furious. It's still that way with Steel Toe. They bottle the same day they deliver.
I bought 3 day old Two Hearted at Target of all places.
Got week old Founders Double Trouble in the make your own six pack section of Woodman's one time. So delicious.
PTE bought in San Fran and flown same day to NC be consumed next day-3 days old when poured--could have been two if I drank it the day I brought it back.
Magic in a bottle.
We get one day Hop Drop pretty easy in Charlotte. Sounds pretentious but sometimes I feel it "cools down" after a few days and actually prefer it then. Prob all in my head.
Hardywood does a "fresh can day" with the distributor in town and you can buy Great Return at several places in town on the same day it is canned.
4 day old westbrook IPA when on vacation in SC.
- The Alchemist Heady Topper
- Half Acre Daisy Cutter
Four day old Jai Alai at the Total Wine around the corner from CCB.
I once picked up a one day old Jai Alai from Total Wine. I legitimately thought it was post dated, or incorrectly dated either intentionally or not. Even though the Total Wine was only about 40 miles from the CCB brewery, I still thought there was no way it could go from canning to distro to shelf in less than 48 hours (closer to 24 hours actually). Others have disagreed with me, but I am still skeptical.
