Hey guys, this may be answered somewhere and I apologize if so. I have a buddy staying up around northwestern and was wondering if there are any good bottle shops around him? Any chance he could find any bcbs? And any suggestions of what he should grab to bring home would be awesome. Thanks guys!

Unless much has changed since I graduated college, Evanston itself is kind of a dead zone, given its historical connections to the temperance movement. EV1 Liquors is OK, but you'd be better off heading to one of the north shore Binny's locations.

Hit the nail on the head. I'm an NU senior and was at EV1 (by the Davis Metra stop) just last night. OK selection of some FFF, Firestone Walker, & Bell's, but I didn't really see anything to go out of your way for. I picked up my 4 pack of BCBS about two weeks ago at the Whole Foods on Chicago / Church, but haven't seen it there since. Binny's in Skokie is probably the best place in the area, but I don't have a car with me at school so I don't get there often.

There is a solid bottle shop in Rogers Park, just S of Evanston. It is on Clark St, just S of Pratt.
My apologies, but the name escapes me. Might be Rogers Park Liquors? I recommend Revolution
Anti Hero, as well as Pipeworks IPAs (bomers). Should have Half Acre there as well, 3F, etc.
