    Hey BA's,

I'm wondering if any local SF people have interest in organizing a bottle share of really big stouts sometime near the end of February. Basically, there's a lot out there I really want to try and I have some cool things I'd like to share with people in the process. We could pick a venue in SF (or roll down to SARA) and have a hell of a day/night. I know it's likely people may feel uncomfortable sharing their precious brews with (mostly) strangers, but I thought I'd see if there was interest.

    Things I think would qualify:
    -BVDL
    -Oak Aged DL
-PVW DL (I would bring the whole Damon set if someone had one of these to share)
    -PVW Eclipse
    -Bourbon Huna
    -AB Huna
    -DB Huna
    -Midnight Sun Bar Fly
    -Kaggen! Stormaktsporter
    -Stormaktsporter
    -KBBS
    -MD
    -Assassin
    -Vintage KtG
-Others of comparable rarity/demand, of course welcome.

Any ideas or thoughts out there? Willing participants?

    Thanks!

I was completely down for this until i saw Stout whales. Been on a barleywine kick the past year so i've mainly got those right now. First few that come to mind: K13, A Deal With The Devil, Cognac church (waiting for arrival.) etc etc...

If you happen to switch it to all walezbro's are welcome, then i'd love to join. Cheers.

I think of about 2-3 other of my friends that would be down for this. Sara is close to where I live and I'm usually there once a week. You can count me in .

Are throwing knives allowed, and if so, will they be provided or should we bring our own?

@HopHead84 harpoons are preferred for duhwalez.

@Charliechu want to check in with your friends and shoot me a message with when you all are free and what you're thinking about bringing?

@MontereyBay831 I opened my KH at SARA two weeks ago! I'm usually there every week or two, so I'm always down to meet up and bring a great barleywine or two.

I'd be down to bring something to this if it's at SARA. I try to get there once a week or so myself. I live real close too. Is Partridge in a Pear Tree still considered whaley?

I got a pappy for this. I'll bring s few others that are not so "whaleiess" but still solid hard to come by BB aged stout. Side note, does Black Tuesday count as a whale? or chocolate rain?

Maybe I am jumping to conclusions on this, and I hate to be "that guy", but have you actually talked to anyone at Sante about doing this? It is one thing to bring along a bottle or two to share somewhere, it is quite another to offer up someone's business for a "organized" share that they are not involved in, or even aware of. We have an organized share at Original Gravity every month with their involvement and blessing, sounds like that would be a perfect time and place for this... Or at least get in touch with Tim and make sure he is fine with it, and then I would be up for it.

Completely agree, last time I was there I brought three bottles and felt like a complete pain in the ass for Jason, John, and Tim.

Would be fine if it's small (3 or 4 people) each with a bottle or two, but not too much beyond that.

Keeping it very small was the plan. Just wanted to gauge interest at this point.

Piggy back of what bill said . We should at least check in with the host of the site . It's only right . Maybe someone can send Tim an email or give them a call.

Ask Adamsimpson, he organizes awesome shares at his own spot the grape and grain in san mateo. Ill definetly be there if it is there, nice centralized location on the peninusla with quick access to public transit.

plus a couple of santa cruz BA carpool up too, its always been a great time.

If we do decide to meet at SARA, that will certainly happen.
