Yep, I was hoping it was going to be in June, to make travel easier, but alas....it looks like I'll be flying down this weekend for 4/23-4/26, then coming right back down 5/29-6/1 for this shindig.

Holy crap... I just found out Im off that whole weekend...its a 3.5 hour drive, but I can get a room and make a night of it....been wanting to visit the brewery, what better day to do it???
I'll be volunteering for this one...aint gonna stand my fat ass in that sun for 10 hours like last year....
I'm just hoping that last keg of Fire in the Hole....hidden away, deep in the back corner of the cooler...somehow finds its way to being tapped on 2nd Anny, as well!
I hope they bring back fire in Your hole....that stuff had my mouth on fire for a full day
I plan on going, just not sure yet if I'm gonna do the all day thing or go for 3-4 hours. I didn't go to the 1 year anniversary but I went to MBCP and I'd imagine it will be timed taps which kind of sucks.
Timed taps for sure. The day is too damn long!
It really is lol Funky Buddha block parties make me feel like a lightweight lol
Had a great time at the bottle share for MBCP, and will likely be in FL that weekend, but I have an event in Tampa the same day. Will be sure to stop in before the 30th, though!
Has anyone heard anything regarding bottle shares that weekend?
They won't be letting people bring beer to the event this go around (bummer)
Not going to be able tomake it this year. Was the Beer related highlight of 2014 for me.
My pocket book is happy though. $6 a pour.. WTF. I guess they need to fund the expansion next door.
I'm usually the first person to comment on overpriced beers but $6 is nothing. Bars down here charge more than that for a 12oz hopgun. I've seen muy bonita snifters for 12.
$6 is fine, it just means you have to focus your efforts on the stuff you can't just order regularly.
I was wondering how long it would take for someone to post complaining about the price.
I was waiting to see how long before you mentioned Hop Gun Classic.
It seems that I'm the only one that misses it.
I'll be running ticket tent south from 11-4. Come say hi. And note that we are selling tickets early so that we don't have a huge bottleneck right at noon of people wanting tickets and beer right when the event starts. So you can show up a little before noon and get tickets so your'e ready right when it begins,.
I live just 15 minutes away from this event. If you plan on coming down then save your hotel money. I have 2 rooms available. If your flying in I can provide transportation. What's in it for me you ask? Well beer of course. You stay at my place and buy my beer tickets for the event.
Bring local beers with you and we can do a bottle share at my place as well. I have tons of beer on hand. If anyone is interested, please message me.
Anyone want to give up a FB French Toast for a Rare Barrel Wise Guise or Forces Unseen at the second anniversary party?
I'll be traveling from out of state this coming weekend for a friend's wedding and will be in the area. Looks like an incredible tap list - all the way at the bottom I see "Tree House TBD"...can anyone confirm that they'll be there?
i am going to be so drunk
Im working behind the main bar inside from 11:30-3:30, come say Hi!
Not sure if anyone is interested in those specifically. But I can almost guarantee people with French Toast will be around.
I just figured since it would be on draft at the event that a quick swap might work. I don't want to carry around bottles on a whim though. I have a saison Bernice for trade but I don't think a French toast is worth that.
Hey Blum what do you expect the turnout to be? Same amount of people as MBCP Day, more, less?
Wow. What an event.
Totally planned on going but had to work last minute. Maybe next year.
Wow. THe 5pm beer lines were nuts
You guys think it will be equal turn out tomorrow? How were the lines around 3? Gonna head down tomorrow with some friends.
Best beer there? Today was the first time I had Last Buffalo abd it really blew me away
Yesterday's leftovers where just fine with me. I could only handle three beers, but they where all great and I just sat at the bar and had them brought to me. I happened to sit next to some home boys and that was an extra treat.
Morning Wood was my personal favorite of the day. The Mexican Coffee was the surprise hit of the day. Excellent beer that surpassed any expectation as I wasn't certain how it would taste. They also had some great Berlinerweisses. We ended up sharing a table with some new people and subsequently shared beers. Got to at least sample everything I wanted. It was a great time.
My favorite part was how the attempted bottle share got shut down.
The Lychee Berliner was a highlight. I also really liked entitALEd. I didn't get to try Morning Wood. Mexican Coffee was damn good. I tried that Carolina Reaper beer. That shit was hot. I couldn't finish the whole thing. Also had Snowed In, French Toast, Margarita Berlinerweiss (tasted sort of like horseradish), No Crusts, J Wake DFPF (good, but definitely not worth the hype) and Sherry Zhukov. I was a successful day. It was also hot as fuck.
I was there for the 12 and 3 releases. Had the favs MBCP and Last Snow. Also had Randy's Old Fashion and it was delicious. Tried two guest taps. Fat Head Barrel Aged Battle Axe and Saltwater Double Barrel. They were all great except Double Barrel. Beer was aged in wine barrels and to me tasted way to acidic and tart. Almost like the wine took over and decimated and kind of beer traces it once had. I'm a sucker for barrel aged and just had to try it. I know better next time.
Only gripe I have about the event itself were the pours. I'm paying 6 bucks for a pour which I really don't mind doing. However... Give it to me right out of the tap. They were pouring into pitchers and from there pouring into cups which they had lined up five deep. I know they had to keep the long lines moving but I really wouldn't have mind waiting a little longer for a nice pour.
