Funky Buddha Announces Last Snow Bottles

anyone try this recent batch from the bottle or tap? Curious how it is. Hear that FB can be hit or miss with releases and a lot of people talk about how much better it "used" to be.

 

Drinking a bottle now, and its excellent. Im getting coffee, coconut, maple and cinnamon.

 

Just got to brewery and they are out of bottles. Drinking one on tap...delicious as always. Have not seen a change in taste in this one after having several different batches - it's consistently great IMO. Hope to find it in stores this week.

 

Had it today on tap; coconut seems a bit lighter and coffee is more prevalent. Really good Porter.

 

Fantastic news for those drinking it. Im a coconut freak and the first time i had this in february i was blown away.

 

Got there at 6:30 and sounds like bottles at the brewery were gone by 5pm. I was able to try it on draft and it does have a pronounced coconut flavor. I thought it was worth the hype.

 

Upon first taste the coffee was much stronger than the coconut but as it warmed the coconut be much more prevalent. My personal opinion is there's a lot of consistency between this batch and batch 1. A very good sign. But go to your local craft beer store and you'll find soooo many worse beers for the price point. This should be a no brainer. If you see it pick up a bottle. That's my tip. Just the tip...

For people near Clermont, I just picked up a bottle at The New Wine Regions. They received one case this morning (1 bottle per person @ $10.99). Super friendly employees...great shop!

 

I just bought a case from whole foods downtown Miami. there's 15 bottles left.

 

2 per person $10.99 @ St Pete Total Wine

 

Cellars in Fort Lauderdale got 4 cases today. 4 per person.

 

For what it's worth, I talked to a sales rep on the phone and he said they might get some Friday.

 

Was just at Fort Myers TW and they have cases of it. No limit. $10.99 each.

Has anyone seen it in Naples?

 

ISO. I'm back in WI but will be flying back Monday. Can do an IP trade with any local WI stuff, NG, CW, TG, FFF, etc.

 

Are they planning on doing 4 packs in the future?

Don't know, but I think I have yet to see a brewery go from 4-pack to the much more expensive bomber format and then go back. Since they are basically making the same amount of money for half the amount of beer now, I wouldn't hold your breath.

 

I think the last plan I saw, was for the 4 seasonals (Nib Smuggler, Sweet Potato Casserole, More Moro and Blueberry Cobbler) to be 4 packs. Those were the only ones that were announced way back when, as 4 pack bottles. Other specials, like Last Snow, MBCP of course, and maybe No Crusts one day?, will be bombers.

 

Any difference in labels from last year? I have bottles from last year left and I can't find a difference in this years or find a bottling date. Guess I'm just going to have to mark them.

Both bottled batches were this year, 1st batch in Feb and 2nd now

 

If you look closely at the neck, the latest release has a date stamp

 

So glad I grabbed a few. So delicious!

 

Finally cracked a bottle yesterday and today. Absolutely delicious but agree with everyone on this release having more coffee. Certainly not a bad thing but would love more coconut.

Agreed, but I had a nice toasted coconut aftertaste.

 

Total Wine was the only place to get some that I know of, and it was only one case.
