What I find funny is Brandon's comment about founders members whining...
Are people that stupid? To consider complaining about a lack of information and service for something you paid for whining?
Jesus man... Sorry, it grinds my gears a bit.

Someone on same Facebook post pointed to an item on the Funky Buddha Lounge's website (http://www.thefunkybuddha.com/) that says they will release Don't Tell Reese Peanut Butter Chocolate Brown Ale on Sept 5. Could it be that? Sounds good to me....

No, that's the lounge, not the brewery. It's a coincidence.
The lounge's beers are brewed on a much smaller scale, so the same beers actually taste different at the two locations. Even if they did bottle Don't Tell Reece, it would probably come from the brewery and be a different batch, of course they could always get hooked up with the lounge's kegs.

Ouch, this was a tough thread to read. Let me answer a few questions and give a little inside info as to what is going on here.

First off, one thing that we recognize where we have failed is in our communication to our "Founder" members. That being said, we should be sending out something this week. We've been busy, tired, blah blah blah, excuses. We will get better.

The original poster listed what we were including in the Founder membership. The only thing we haven't delivered on was the once a year bottle release and Founder's party. I ask that you please be patient with us as we are only 3 months old.

We've been incredibly humbled by the support and business we have received so far. I can tell you we are far from perfect. We continue to make mistakes but I am also happy to say we can continue to improve every day. I'm as happy with our beer as I have ever been and I can tell you I am one our toughest critics.

If you are a member who doesn't feel satisfied or a person who just wants to call me an asshole, feel free to email me anytime. I do appreciate any feedback, good or bad.

Also, as some of you have noticed and posted about here, we did start messing around with a small 4 head bottler today. We are trying to fill some bottles for the GABF coming up and once we get the kinks worked out, can also start doing small bottle releases.

The only thing I'm a little bummed about from the latest email is that we're not getting first dibs on bottles. Kinda the reason I signed up. But still excited good things are coming, and I'll be at any event I need to be for bottles.

sorry that wasn't addressed in the email. "Founder" members will always get first crack at bottle releases. Everything we stated in original email is still the same, we have just added a few benefits.

The soft opening was also not really what you guys made it out to be. We got one regular draft beer and that was it, which I know was due to license issues, but still. Either way, it's too soon for people to be upset. An awesome Founders party and a couple godbeer bottle releases when it's up and running and everyone complaining immediately shuts up.

Saw this on the Brewery website today...I know they were recently serving it at the Lounge, but this is awesome news about a bottle release of this! I was unable to get up to the Lounge for the anniversary and have yet to try Maple Bacon Coffee Porter.

Q: When are you going to brew Maple Bacon Coffee Porter!

A: Soon! We plan to release MBCP as our first major bottle release at the brewery later this year. Check our News & Events section for updates.

6 months in and not a whisper of any bottles releases coming down the pipeline other then the email they sent about a month ago after hearing complaints. I'm desperate for any news!

I sure hope we get more than the one guaranteed bottle before April when the memberships run out.

    From the email "

Going back to communication, we want to talk about our plans for bottle releases with you:

-Maple Bacon Coffee Porter will be the first major bottle release. Our current plan is for an October/November time frame, though a date has not been set. We plan to do a lot of bottles, so this will be a large event with live music, food trucks, and even some ancillary events such as beer pairings and launches at our partnering bars and restaurants. More details will come soon.

-We’re very excited about the special Founders bottle, which we plan to release in December. We hope to do something very cool - a date will be announced after our first bottle release. "

So two bottle releases in the next two months!

    OR

    Even more disappointment

They use the word "plan" a lot though, apparently so they have an "out" o_O

Shit happens. Things change. Hence "plan". Ryan and crew will make right by all Founders members. This I am confident. We just have to be a little more patient. In the meantime I suggest everyone get their ass to the Funky Buddha Lounge in Boca next Thursday at 7pm for a KILLER draft list. Nice guest tap of White Oak Jai Alai as well.

    Here is the line-up:
Baby Herman Whiskey Barrel Aged Porter
    Chocolate Banana Dunkelweizen
    Passionfruit Berliner
    Maple Bacon Coffee Porter
    Sweet Potato Casserole
    Muy Bonita Imperial Bonita Applebum
    Guests including...
Cigar City White Oak Jai Alai
Cigar City KalevipoegGates of Hell Bourbon Barrel Aged Baltic Porter

If I weren't 2 time zones away, I'd be camped Thursday night at FB Boca. That is ridiculous.

Because it's not a commitment, it's just a plan. If they said they were releasing MBCP in Oct/Nov that would be a commitment , but they are just saying they are "planning" on doing it. They have an "out", they can say they never made a firm commitment and the plan didn't work out.

you can also make a commitment that doesn't work out.

just kidding, i don't actually care about this pedantic nonsense.

Bump. What did Founder's members think about our first exclusive bottle? Originally I wasn't thrilled about a Gose. But this beer turned out very tasty.
