Just curious to see what y'all are looking forward to most. A beer, a brewery, the events?
For me, I like the "gathering". People from all over accumulating for one reason: beer. And it helps that I don't have to travel more than 10 blocks :sunglasses:

    Love this time of year!

Having my best friend of 20 years fly out to join me for the festival this year. As another beer lover and homebrewer. Just looking forward to the event itself, the sampling of new beers, trying new breweries, and the excitement that surrounds having 12,000 people per session, and 50,000 people converge on downtown Denver, all beer lovers.

I look forward to going to brewery booths at GABF where the brewers or owners are behind their booth ... note to brewers, if you put your friends or family behind the booth they are essentially representing you so please educate them a little bit for us attendees.

Also looking forward to visiting many of the Denver area breweries this year ...

Probably going to make the rounds at the local small breweries early in the week. Hitting up the Thursday GABF session and the Rare Beer Tasting at Wynkoop on Friday. I'm hoping and praying that the Bull and Bush kitchen will be open for brunch on Saturday. If not I guess I'll have to settle for something similar elsewhere.

My brother and my Dad are coming this year. It's rare the three of us get together; Dad lives in NY, bro in FL. We all have a common bond in beer...it will be awesome.

Taking my girlfriend to her first GABF...and her first time in Colorado! She has no idea what she's in for...and I love it!

Likewise, it's my girl's first time at GABF, too. Saturday afternoon session to dip her toes in the water instead of diving into the deep end of the pool on a Friday. The whole Friday I have off, and if I don't get a last-second volunteering opportunity at the DRBT, then you can find me at Falling Rock furiously ordering enough Apple Brandy Hunapuh to kill a Clydesdale horse. King me.

    also, Dr. Bill...

I have some friends coming to visit from South Dakota and Iowa. We're going to the Thursday evening and Saturday members sessions for GABF and will be hitting up breweries and beer bars all week, as well as our yearly blind tastings at my apartment. Typing that out it's just now setting in how much drinking I'll be doing that week haha.

I am heading there for my first time....and it is going to be a long weekend. Flying in Wednesday, heading to the Boulder, Loveland, and Ft. Collins breweries. Thursday, recover and hit the Thursday Night Session. Friday Denver area breweries. Saturday, Brewers Reserve session.

Similar to my schedule. Will be in the Twin Cities the weekend before, then heading back to my home of Ft. Collins Monday-Wednesday with events planned every night, somehow, somewhere. Thursday night session in Denver with friends; Friday Denver area brew/bar hopping all day and night. Saturday day session with wife, see what we have left for Saturday night. Then sober up for work week! Enjoy man.

I'll be doing a fair bit of sampling at the Thursday and Saturday Members sessions. Last year's rare beer fest was fun, but couldn't pull the trigger on a $100 ticket this year.

I've got a beer in the Pro-Am competition this year with Big Time Brewing from Seattle which is pouring Friday night (at the pro-am booth). I've also got a brewer's badge this year and will be pouring at Big Time's booth during the Friday session. All in all, it's going to be insane. I'm meeting up with some good friends out there and am really looking forward to trying a bunch of beers not available locally.

Plan on getting there Tuesday and hitting a few breweries in boulder, (Boulder brewing, Avery, Mountain Sun,etc...) Wednesday is kind of open, was thinking maybe Cheeky Monk and a few bottle shops to stock up... Thursday I will be going to the GABF!!! Super pumped (ISO: Thursday ticket for my girlfriend) Friday I am super pumped for Falling Rock, they are tapping some amazing stuff (Apple Brandy Hunahpu)!!! Then when that ends at 4 going up to Fort Collins to visit Funk Werks, NB, Odell, etc... then its back to Falling Rock by 10!! Saturday I am attempting the impossible and going to the Members Only Day Session, and the Evening Session at the GABF!! Hope I can pace myself during the day! Sunday is also open for recovery and more journeys.

I plan to live at the Falling Rock for most of that week. I didn't snag any GABF tickets, so on Saturday we might just hit up a bunch of breweries.

If you guys want to go to a session, lots of people have pointed out in GABF ticket threads that you can show up with cash and buy tickets at face after it's started.

Looking forward to my first year at the GABF! For a Christmas present the wife got GABF tickets, airfare, hotel and a rental car for me and a buddy. We arrive Thursday and are attending the Thursday session. We're staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, which I hear is just around the corner from the GABF (good thinking on her part ). Very excited!!!

This has been said before for you out-a-towners, but drink water A LOT! The altitude and dryness will get ya. At GABF, it's a good idea to swig some water when rinsing your tasting cup.

Oh, and Rock Chalk!! (happy Self just re-signed)

I am hitting my 16th GABF in the last 17 years. As noted, for you out or towners, drink that water you are rinsing your tasting glasses with instead of dumping it into the buckets. Thank me later.
