Deep Ellum is open all day and serves brunch till 4 with easily one of Boston's most interesting tap lists. Lonestar Taco Bar is next door if you'd rather that type of food. If you are closer to Kenmore then Citizen or Deep Ellum.

The Sunset Cantina is closer, so Providence should make sure to go to Grill & Tap and not Cantina if you want the bigger selection.

I work at BU, so it depends where you need to be after the hour. Depending on how close to BU you need to be, there's a few places. Yard House and Boston Beer Works are near Fenway, Scoozi is right across from the Blanford T stop (Jack's Abby, Pretty Things, Stone, and Dogfish all on tap. Plus you can get a sandwich for under $10), and Lower Depths is just a short walk from the Kenmore stop (cash only!). If you want the biggest selection on campus, go to Sunset Cantina across from Agganis Arena. Sunset Grill and Tap in Allston is great, but it's about a 5-10 minute walk from West Campus, unless you can catch the 57 bus.

I'd definitely vote sunset grill and tap for lunch. They have an absurd selection and the food is decent and decently priced. Sunset Cantina is more on the BU campus, so be sure you head outbound on the B Line to get to Grill and Tap instead as there's a better beer focus. The South of the Border Nachos with Chicken Chilli are life changing.

If you're looking for a classier experience, Deep Ellum is also an excellent choice. More import-focused with decent local options. Truffled Gorgonzola fries are an absolute must if you end up there.
