The Waltham Costco had Jack D'Or ($4.89), Chimay Blue/Grande Reserve ($11.99), and Allagash Curieux ($15.99). The trio joins the usual cases of SA, Harpoon, and DFH 60 Minute. You don't need to be a Costco member to buy booze there, but they don't take out of state licenses.

Costco in CT (Milford at least) is hit and miss. I was grabbing the Sierra Nevada mixed IPA 24pks at a pretty decent price. For a spell they had Stone 22oz 4pks. Last visit a week or so ago they had Otter Creek mixed cases, Harpoon or Redhook mixed cases and something else. Sometimes they have a "Best of Belgium" case. Not a home run selection by any means but I think they are improving.

We got the SN 4-way IPA cases and the Stone 4-pack with IRS at the one in Springfield, MA - but the Stone came in literally one week before the Enjoy By date on the included Stone IPA (3 months from bottling), and the 4-way cases had just come in in July and they were packed in early February. Didn't matter for the IRS and AB in the 4-pack and the other two weren't bad, but it's obvious that out here we're getting near dead warehouse dumps just before they go to the crusher.

Fwiw, these were pretty fresh. The Allagash was bottled in June and the PT in July.

I live in Norwalk and our CostCo has zero beer. I'm stunned to learn that if I drive to Milford, I might be able to get craft beer at CostCo. I thought it was a CT-wide thing that they didn't sell it! The more you know.

It did start around May now that I think about it. Before anyone drives crazy distances to the Milford, CT store, I would call ahead first. Like anything ant COSTCO it can be hit and miss. That's just how they work. Maybe they hooked up with some more distro's or something. I don't rely on them for my beer hunting adventures but I make a point to stop in to see whats up, more on an economic stand point. The Kirkland brand stuff isn't bad (including most of their liquor too) but nothing to write home about. Good if you need something non BMC and in bulk. Think it might be less than $20 a case.

Bumping this to document new additions: cases of SA and Paulaner Octoberfests, Hoponius Union, Lagunitas IPA, Harpoon Tailgate mix (ipa/rye ipa/o-fest/pumpkin ufo). Maybe one or two others I missed. HU was $33/case ($40 at the brewery), Lagunitas was $28 or $29, and Harpoon was $24 or $25. Missed the prices on the octoberfests, but I recall it was about a buck a bottle. As always, no membership required, but they don't take out of state IDs--MA or passport only.

Dates were pretty good (JA bottle 8/4 I think, Lagunitas 8/16), and the fact that they moved all their bottled-in-July Jack D'Or and are now selling Aug bottle dates is a good sign. Color me cautiously optimistic.

PT bombers at, essentially, Berkshire prices? Damn. Do they only sell Jack D'or or do they celebrate the the whole PT stable? Not a big fan of Jack, but I'd certainly buy a bunch of other PT bombers at those prices.

Just Jack D'or, at least at the Waltham location.

Picked up a case of Paulaner O-fest yesterday in Waltham - $23.99. Good deal.

Bumping this with a recent sighting: Stone IPA cases, $34 + dep. Also plenty of JA HU. Dates on both were Dec 16-19 (though those Dec 19 HUs were there several weeks ago too).
