Good breweries that distribute to MN but not WI

Badger Hill, Boom Island, Borealis, Excelsior, Indeed, Lucid, Olvalde, Mankato, Steeltoe all have a variety of packaged beer and some growlers. There are a few other breweries with MN-only availability (growlers and DONGs), but if he can score you some growlers, he totally should if he can manage it!

Can't think of any non-MN brands off the top of my head. So many new "locals-only" brands that it's been hard to even pay attention to all the new stuff from Colorado, Nebraska, California...

EDIT: Does Wisconsin have Great River or Millstream from Iowa yet? I thought Millstream got there, it's been a while since I hopped-the-border ; )

 

seekabrew.com is your friend. Although it says Deschutes does distribute to WI, which contradicts Deschutes' own website, so you could do a service to your fellow WI BAs, and alert the guy who runs the website of that fact.
Anyway, aside from the MN locals and Deschutes and Odell, I like Brooklyn and Great Divide.

Since when did Captain Lawrence distribute to MN? I did not think they made it out of New York.

 

Lake Placid and Laughing Dog are both listed on Seekabrew's Minnesota page, and Purity islisted as "draft only". It would seem that that page could use some updating...

 

Does Boulevard get into Wisconsin? Enjoyed that in Minneapolis back when it wasn't yet available in Illinois.

 

We actually do get Laughing Dog here now.

 

Have him grab some Great River (IA) if he can find it in MN. I've liked everything I've had from them, Redband Stout is my favorite.

 

Where is Stone in WI. I've never seen it, but then again I'm not out seeking it.

 

Didn't Stone pull out of WI around the same time they came to MN? I think that is when Boulevard also pulled out of WI and Brooklyn Brewery came to MN.

 

Stone, Boulevard and Two Brothers all pulled out of WI.

I don't think Clown Shoes is in WI yet.

 

I have seen it around, and was being cheeky by hyperlinking to the availability page at their website -- if you search for Minnesota you get: "Sorry, there's no distributors currently listed for this state."

 

I'm almost positive that I have seen Clown Shoes in Hudson

 

if they aren't now, they will be, I heard a rep talking to one the nova guys about how clown shoes is gonna be arriving.

 

Clown Shoes has hit wisconsin, at least in the MKE area
