Should be. I'd check with Binny's - my local spot still had plenty last weekend, but its not on your route. I know Open Bottle also has some still - also not on your route. My point is not to be unhelpful (I swear) but to reassure you that its still floating around plenty of places.

Thanks for the tips guys. I'll get on the horn and make a couple calls before we leave.

Search for it in the Binny's app. It'll show you what locations have it in stock. Can even buy it online and have it waiting for you at the counter.

EDIT: might not even need the app, just search their website.

I've been told (and experienced) that their website is completely inaccurate with inventory specifics for individual stores. My plan is to call and force somebody to walk back to the shelf and verify before stopping. Either way I have to grab my traditional case of Goldfinger since I'm down south of the border, so hopefully I can get lucky. No biggie if not. Appreciate the advice. Was mostly just wondering if the GI Cuvee was something that disappeared immediately but sounds like my chances of grabbing some are not too bad.

Seems that almost every Binny's still has it. I would check stock and stop at one along the way.

Their stock has always been quite accurate for me. At least in the last 5 years, maybe going back 10 years it was less reliable.

The beer employees know what they have, you don't have to force people to walk anywhere. If you somehow convince them to they are 100% putting you on hold, making fun of you to another employee and then telling you they have it.

I call the UC-binny's before I stop when I pass through. Literally, every single time I have called inquiring about a product, they go and check. Perhaps it is because I am looking for things that *may* be running low, but I've yet to have anyone practice perfect recall when I contact them.

    Same

They've even put what I wanted at the front desk for me in the past.

Well as long as they're accurate what do I care? Working with the public would suck ass so I'd probably do the same if I already knew what I had for sale.

Nice. The guys in the beer section at my local Binny's are pretty friendly and beers nerds themselves. More times than not they'll give me a heads up on what's going to be hitting the shelves and when.

Ended up at the Lincoln Park store where the 35th Cuvee was readily available. And for the record, when I called 2 other stores that didn't have it, one knew immediately it was gone and the other put me on hold to either check or talk shit before shooting me down.

Also when the hell did you guys start getting de Garde bottles there? I wish I'd known so I could've planned for the financial debacle that beer run turned into. Lol

Hi all! Has anyone seen the 35th Anniversary Cuvee on tap in or around the loop recently? I'm hoping to grab a pour and avoid going on the (goose) hunt for a 4-pack when I get into town tomorrow. Thanks in advance for the assistance! #honk

According to Binny's website the South Loop store has it in stock, along with a handful of other city locations. Don't know exactly where you'll be, but I'd suggest picking the most convenient spot, buying it online today, then pick it up at the counter when you arrive tomorrow. Good luck!

EDIT: technically today looking at your lost and factoring in for standard time travel.

Have not seen it on tap - but your best bets for finding it on tap would be a place like Franklin Tap or Monk's Pub. I just checked and neither place has it on tap or in bottles right now, but might be worth double checking later this week.

As for buying bottles - like @flat_lander mentioned - Binny's probably still has it. I'd also recommend checking Warehouse Liquors in the South Loop - they might still have it as well.
