Let me know if you've seen it. If you have, what store(s) and how much?
I haven't seen any GI high grav stuff yet... at least not over in Jackson
As far as I can tell', this is not happening in Memphis. I've called a few stores.
My folks live in Memphis, I think my dad said he got some Sofie at Buster's recently--so high grav GI is available. That said, Nashville was supposed to get some last year and didn't. Hopefully this year will be different for TN and BCBS.
And my dad just found some at Poplar Wine and Spirits in Germantown/Collierville. So it's around, keep an eye out!
I got some at Busters this afternoon.
Nice to see this in west TN... what was the limit?
They only had two 4 packs on the shelf but I got the impression that there was more in the back.
Yorkshire also has several (3-4) cases with no stated limit.
Any variants show up in Memphis?
I didn't see any. Distributor claims on twitter that we're getting coffee stout but said they didn't know the roll out date.
I bought two cases at Busters Friday afternoon , there were 3 cases left on the floor and were going fast
This thread had me pretty excited that Nashville would get some, but no dice, apparently.
someone at craft brewed said they would be getting some in the beginning of december so be on the look out.
Thanks for that!
There's also a very limited amount of Halia and Juliet floating around. The coffee stout and barleywines might still be coming, but there's been no confirmation on them yet.
Had a bottle of the Haila in my hand but didn't pull the trigger not my style of brew
I picked some up at Joe's Wines and Liquors on Poplar on Black Friday. Walked in the door the minute they opened and had to ask for it because they hadn't even put it on the shelves yet.
i saw two cases in joe's yesterday, 5.99 a twelve ounce
Yeah, that's what they charged me when I bought two 4-packs. Then I saw them at Buster's for $19.99 for a 4-pack... I wondered if maybe the girl who rang me up at Joe's didn't know what she was doing.
None here in East TN. When I spoke with the distributor I was given the number for the person in charge of new beers at the warehouse who seemed unsure of when or if we would ever see the BCBS and two variants currently sitting in their warehouse. Apparently it was accidentally shipped to their low grav warehouse and there's a "mountain of red tape" to correct that problem and to send it to their high grav warehouse. I have friends who have suggested that it may have not been an accident but I'm not entirely sure what their motivation for that would have been. However, it does sound like some pretty serious incompetence to have botched the release of such a legendary and highly sought after beer.
I figured I missed out in Nashville after checking my email 2 days after the notice for Midtown. Then I walked into my local liquor store just now and they had 10 four packs just sitting on the shelf. Really surprised me for some reason. Anyways it will probably be there for awhile. Not many people around here actually know what it is. Everyone that was checking out the beer isle today just looked at it indifferently and walked off.
