I haven't seen anyone post this up yet.

I'm a big fan of the Yeti Series so I'm excited to see that Great Divide is releasing a new version called Oatmeal Yeti. Unfortunately they'll be replacing Belgian Style Yeti.

I'll be looking forward to this hitting the shelves in July.

I love the Yeti series... nice to see this addition

and out of all of them to subtract, the Belgian was a good choice. Wasn't bad, but just had that weird collision of flavors that wasn't the best.

This sounds like a good variation on Yeti. Can't wait to try it.

It's supposed to hit the first week of July and Rumble will follow suit.
They tested it in the taproom as Raisin' Hell Yeti and people seem to like it. I haven't tried it yet, though.
Sucks that Belgian Yeti is going away, but luckily River North's Avarice is relatively close.

Please just blend Chocolate, Espresso, and this and call it Breakfast Yeti. Then, have BBA Breakfast Yeti.

    Sounds good! Can't wait!
As previously said, I too think that the Belgian Yeti was too much of a clash. I'm glad to see it pulled.

I agree. Belgian Yeti was good but it was definitely the weakest of the bunch. An oatmeal raisin version sounds delicious. I will definitely be looking for this one.

First review looks pretty damn promising: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/158/95746

Drinking this right now and I like it. It is really fresh, and still pretty roasty, but you can especially get the oats on the nose. A small bit of raisin on the nose and with age it should come through on the tongue more than it does now. The mouthfeel is exceptional.

I just had it at the brewery today, and I really enjoyed it. Probably my favorite of the Yetis (I've had the Belgian, Espresso, Chocolate, Oak, and regular).

Almost bought this today! Instead, went with the variety pack from Dark Horse and another Ruin Ten. I have no doubt I will buy this beer; Great Divide makes good beer.

I rarely get excited for beers but just that label gets me excited. The Belgian was by far the worst while still good. The oatmeal yeti will be purchased without hesitation.

As a 40 year old male from Oklahoma did you really just make a comment like gimme? I just threw up a little bit. Coming from a chick it would not even be acceptable.

Yeti so drastically benefits from some time with oak that I'm left feeling like the non-oak aged versions are deficient.

Awesome, love me some oatmeal stout. I'm sure the belgian won't be lost to time, but I'd take this over that in a second, I like 'em dark.

Pumped for this. I also think that Belgian Yetti was misleading. I always passed it because Belgian-style anything typically = banana yeast character. It didn't, and turned out to be my favorite of the series.

Not sure why this beer and Rumble aren't on normal shelves yet, BUT you can get both of them at GD, and they have bottles, too.

While I was a bit upset to lose Belgian Yeti, I honestly think this one is very, very similar. For that matter, it might even be using that same yeast in it. It's a little sweeter and the texture isn't as heavy, but I think fans of Belgian Yeti will likely be happy with Oatmeal Yeti, too.

No. I didn't make a comment like gimme. I made the comment gimme. As a 44 year old male, I say whatever I want to whenever I want to say it. I haven't thrown up since I was a little kid, but even if I did I wouldn't admit to it.
