Has anyone heard anything more about the release of Griffon Bruxellois? I know it was supposed to be a December RS only release....seeing as how it's the 27th or December and nothing has been posted, I figured I'd ask what the word on the street is.

It didn't carb up in the bottle, so they didn't release it for the RS 2012 members. It'll be a future release probably.

It's bottled but apparently it is not quite ready yet so they do not want to release it when it's not drinkable off the shelf. As with their other beers, they are bottle conditioned so it has probably been bottled for a few months now.

Just read the email, and got one..

Don't understand why its only cellarable for up to 2 years tho?
Does it have to do with the carbonation?
I'll still drink a flat sour, as long as its tasty :sunglasses:

It has to do with the fruit flavours I was told. It most likely will still taste good in 2+ years, but the fruit falls off with time (which may or may not be your thing).

Are these already gone or am I just not seeing them on the store?

I don't see them in store either. Glad I stopped in on Saturday and had a taste (along with a growler of SitR). It was good but I am not going to lose any sleep over missing out on one bottle.

They posted on FB ~1.5 hours after the release (and ~2 hours ago) that they had 350/1100 left, so I think it's not surprising if it's sold out.

Are you logged in? I'm seeing it still.

I refreshed a couple of minutes after posting that and it came back. Dunno if they added another batch or something, but it still seems to be there.

You have to login to see it in the inventory.

Yeah man, people need to learn how to internet.

I bought mine, but I don't have high expectations because I've been steering away from sours with strong acetic profile.

Retracted. Not sure how navigating their site logged me out but I was able to find it after clicking the link via the email. I still wouldn't bank on this lasting too long though

I rather hate acetic sours and thought griffon was absolutely delicious. It leans much more to the fruity side.

I was logged in, as I could navigate to the "Current Allocations" tab and saw the "Initial Package Shipping". The GB image simply wasn't there for a few minutes.

Anyway, I got it and all is good...

That is great news, I was just basing my comments on what I read on RB. Probably best consumed fresh, I'm guessing. I'll have to try it Saturday if it's available!

I had a similar issue. When I came out of a movie I saw the e-mail and tried buying right away on my phone. I was able to log in, but I could only buy shipping for my initial initiation beers and the initiation party, but that was it. When I got home I tried again and it was available.
