Just had a glass of Light Year on draft—hard to imagine a better IPA.

was out in BK for a conference - popped over to see what it looked like. facility looks nice, looks pretty close with glassware and bar hardware and everything close to set up.

empty bottle of lilt in the window, hype intensifies.

barring the last photo, I was at a bar and overheard someone in the industry stating that the opening is almost imminent. Any official update?

also, air and light is the bees knees - that sour cherry flavor and the crisp grimm berliner base are a nice combo - its a little like session kriek you can drink a bunch of without burning out your palate on cherry. And its a nice contrast with the Pop berliners, with this one without the vanilla.

crystal sync was good, I think the tea gives it a touch of tannic astringency maybe - I was looking for more bergamot (because I am a huge fan of it as a flavor) but it might get a little bit lost in the overall taste profile.

so WF CC just took the cake for some of the highest Grimm can prices I've seen... $7.99 a can for Magnetic compass, Told the guy I've been buying there for years and they've always been $4.99... he countered with he's been working there for over a year and they've never been $4.99... then proceeds to sell me a 4k for $20, which I told him they also never used to sell 4pks of it either.. oh well, bought a 4pk, worth it for $3 more...

Good on calling him out. Aren't Whole Foods prices supposed to be standard across the city? I saw cans pop up on beermenus at 'Some Good Beer' for $7.99 pretty recently. Watch out food emporium!

I picked up a can of Magnetic Compass and to be honest I'm fairly underwhelmed. Haven't had any previous batches so I can't really compare, but curious to see how others think it stacks up.

$8 cans is exactly why the brewery can't come soon enough.

While WF CC remains one of the city's best beer bars (I will stand by this), the employees working in that section on any given day are really hit or miss.

I remember City Hops charged me $8.50 for New Age back when that was out. I pretty much stopped buying Grimm ever since then.
