Im from California and I'm going out of state specifically to Portland and Seattle... I realized I wanted to buy alot of growlers and glassware. Any ideas on how to bring many growlers and glassware home? What do you guys do in this situation?

Oddly enough, I think this is the first time that I've seen this question in this forum, although it seems like it would be a natural place for it. Here's a link http://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/transporting-growlers-advice.91245/ to a thread from the Beer Talk forum, where this topic comes up fairly often. I did a search of thread titles using 'transporting' as my search word. There would be other similar threads if this one isn't enough and you want to search further.

I don't transport growlers to be an expert on your question, but I do haul bottled beer on my driving trips. I always carry a large cooler, not so much to try to keep the beer cold (although that is the best thing to do for the beer), but I use the cooler to keep the beer protected from the heat that can generate inside a car during sunny days. Packing growlers in a large cooler with some kind of padding between them seems like the way to do it.

I'll also add that may threads on how to keep a growler fresh will recommend that you take the extra step after purchase to wrap plastic electrical tape around the cap to help seal it. The growlers will take some sloshing around while driving, so any extra protection that you can add should be a good thing.

P.S. I presume that you are driving on your trip?
