I bought Bourbon FFTW to go a couple months after the release. FFTW went quite a bit faster. I'm not sure about quantities either, but Matt is a much bigger deal than either of those anyway.

Yeah! Is there? That's a good question!

Very true. Also, I'm sure there will still be bottles for on site consumption at the tasting room, if you don't mind consuming them there.

I of course can't speak for the staff at HOTD, but if you ask to speak to the manager in the tasting room; tell him/her that you are big fans of HOTD and are visiting PDX on your honeymoon; that you were unable to make it for the bottle realease but would really love to be able to buy just a single bottle of each to take home with you...

Obviously, I can't make any guarantees on behalf of HOTD, but based on some of the experiences I've had in the past, I'd say there is a very good chance you'll be able to walk out of the tasting room with a bottle of each.

If anyone is going to this bottle release but can't make it to the anniversary party let me know. I would love to trade half a case of Panapooch Reserva for half a case of Matt.

If anybody wants to split a case of Matt, please let me know. My PDX contact who was going to help out now has another commitment. I am only looking for ~6ish bottles total, but I am certainly flexible.

I have a good friend who will be in town on Saturday and can trade out the $$ and some nice "thank-you" bottles for your troubles.

    Cheers and thanks, Toby.

We sampled the bottles at the tasting rooms today. Totally over-hyped. You should all just stay home tomorrow night.

I'm headed to Portland in the morning. I'll bring a mixed case of Fremont bottles with me if anyone wants to do some trading. Send me a message if interested.

From what I've heard from the brewery they recommend getting there 2-3 hours early. Plenty to go around...no reason to lineup way earlier lol. Looking forward to it.

I know that the allotment of Matt is pretty large, not sure on Otto but I don't think this is going to be an Adam ftw type of situation.

I never said 5 pm. I said 4 pm and just so happened to refresh the site around 2:15 to find that tix were available. Also, yes I'm positive on my previous post. There's a lot of matt from what I've heard.

Cheers all and hope everyone is happy with their allocations!

How much are the bottles for on-site consumption? I'll be stopping in Portland next Friday while driving down to Eugene.

Matt was $15. I believe that Otto is the same. I find all the xFTWs test my tolerance on sweetness, and the Matt did as well, although comparatively it is not as sweet at the Otto from comments at HOTD yesterday. Near flat, less distinctive barrel character than past versions, but overall, quite nice. There seemed to be a hint of smokiness, but I have a very high threshold on that so no not so sure.

If Matt has a few bubbles then it is considered fully carbonated :)

Yeah that guy on RB was being a douche. I think many people will end up with what they need or want. Looking forward to drinking Matt for 24 consecutive days...jk, but I do love that beer. I need to try and make it last for 2+ years but that is tough...
