I am amazed that more people are not in love with this beer. It is so piney! Glad to see it increasing its market size.

This is why I do not listen to reviews of beers.

Literally everyone has their own opinion and their tastes differ. I think it is a good IPA, but nothing worth raving over. Again, that is just my opinion.

The 85 rating it gets here tells me the same thing.:astonished:

Ok. Send 6 of us a couple of cans and we will get back to you and et you know if we agree.

The 85 doesn't scare me away. Neshaminy Creek County Line has an 85 on here and I think that is a great IPA

But Sam Adams Rebel IPA seems closer with the lousy rating lol

I said PBR is the best bang for the buck and nobody in a million years will refute that. Seems like some pseudo-snobs in here feel that the only "good" IPA are the rare ones, the ones that they just happened to have drank. When I drink an IPA, I want to be spitting pieces of pinecone, Holmes!!

That's the great thing about beer we all have different tastes. If happy camper is your favorite than its your favorite if someone else's favorite is a whale they just have to work harder or spend more money to get the same enjoyment. And I definitely agree pbr is a great bargain beer, but rating it a 5 I don't see.

PBR 5 stars, rebel IPA 1.08? Not saying your review skills need some work, but your review skills need some work. Reviewing to style is one thing, I don't think any AAL is 5 stars value or not.

I think County Line's poor rating comes from it's first batch, which was not that good. However, after they reformulated it, it is now a great IPA.

100% right about county line. Wish I could find it more, it's a great IPA. I have a friend in chicago and we swap whenever I can find it- County line for zombie dust.

While price point relative to quality is not something that affects my ratings (and, in my humble opinion, nor should it affect yours), I will say that Trader Joe's' Simpler Times is a much better "bang for the buck" than PBR. Consider your statement refuted.

I did try this thread's eponymous IPA. And I wasn't a happy camper...

I haven't had ST in years, so maybe you're right, but their other beer, Nametag (formerly Red Oval) is one of the worst beers I've ever had. I would drink PBR filtered through a shoe before I drink that again.
