Holy shit. Stopped by the brewery yesterday after the Quadrawine release and had a couple servings of the BBA Barleywine. Simply amazing stuff. I'd rank it right up there with Sucaba. It was that good, if not better.

Apparently the batch was only 20 gallons, so they weren't doing any growler fills. No plans of bottling at this time (according to the guys pouring), but hurry your ass to the brewery if you can. It's worth the trip to try this bba barleywine.

Just speading the word about a great beer from an up-and-coming local brewery. That is all.

I had two empty growlers with me. I left with two empty growlers because they wouldn't fill them with the BBA Barleywine. So disappointed.

i really like Hardywood, i'm happy to have them in my city, i think they're one their way to great things, and lord knows i want the hype to make their trade value go up, but that's some serious hyperbole right there.

Just one man's opinion. If i had the opportunity to do a side-by-side, I would.

yeah, not hatin, i know it's all subjective. i liked the beer and a the people that made it, but saying it's one of the best barleywines in the world is a stretch, that's all.

The original idea for the beer for Screens 'n' Suds 4th anniversary was to blend four different beers together. We tasted the Barleywine and it blew our minds. Patrick (brewmaster) and I agreed that blended the original batch of Barleywine would be a mistake. It was so good we decided to make a new batch of Barleywine to blend with 8 month of BBA Quad. That is how the Quadrawine came to life.
