So Harvest Week is back at Weasel Boy next week, bringing with it the reappearance of Anastasia. Current Release Schedule is as follows: Closed Monday Tuesday- Anastasia Russian Imperial Stout (2012 GABF Gold Medal Winner!!!) Wednesday- Snow Ermine Holiday Ale (Blackfooted Porter with Vanilla Beans and Ohio Honey, cold aged on Cocoa Nibs) Closed Thursday for Thanksgiving Black Friday- Bourbon Barrel Anastasia (Aged in Woodford Reserve barrels) Saturday- Blackfooted Porter Schedule can change, but likely will not. Hopefully some of you guys can make it out and try some really good seasonal beers. I'll be there on Tuesday for the Anastasia, and I'll try and make it out on Friday as well. Growlers of the regular Anastasia, Blackfooted Porter, and Snow Ermine will be available. As for the BB Anastasia, I'm not sure. Last year Jay did 1 gallon special growlers of it for 50 bucks. I doubt he's going to do them again this year, but hey, you never know. I'll ask Lori when I talk to her on Tuesday.
Hey Keffa, Historically, how long do these stay on tap for growler fills? Speciafically Ermine and regular Anastasia.
Lol, guy showed up right after open, brought in an empty 1 gallon from the BB Anastasia from last year wanting more of it. Jack, one of the bartenders, said "We've got a couple of the BB gallons from last year, but not of this years' batch." Guy says "Well, I'll take 2 of last years' BB and then can you fill this with the regular Anastasia?" Guy took home 3 GALLONS of beer. Guy must have really liked it
128.51, but who is counting? The Anastasia is good, btw. Two kegs of it blew in the time I was there (Open at 4 until around 7ish). IF you have one of the BB 1 gallon growlers, they are 28.51 to fill with the regular Anastasia.
Looking forward to my first trip to Weasel Boy. I am wondering how the BB Anastasia from last year is tasting. I have a gallon growler that I need to open but haven't found a large enough event to open it in. Keffa, you headin to JO's next month for the 7th Anny?
Hah. 5 friends and I put down a gallon growler of BA Anastasia at a BYOB pizza place. Can't imagine what I would do with 3 gallons!
Probably wake up wondering where your pants are. And Eye, I'm not sure. Life threw me and my wife a huge curve a couple months back. We're just getting back on our feet from it. I'm going to try to be there, but not sure that I'll be able to or not. On a side note, I'm going to have some news to report here very soon, but until it's finalized completely, I'm going to stay a little hush about it
