Have we moved beyond fruit infused IPAs?

    But few brewers are using fruit to "make alcohol" (that's called "wine") - these fruit/fruit extract additions, even when they add some sugar content (while others are added post-fermentation) are used for flavoring not as a fermentable adjunct to barley malt.

    It would seem that Artisanal Brewing Ventures, the holding company that owns Victory, thinks the answer to the question posed is “No” since in 2018 Victory will be releasing:

    The beers that sell best at the host brewery where we contract brew are infused with fruit (and/or peppers). Doesn't seem to be losing much popularity.

    Lost your bet. Boston guy. First good beers were Sam Lager and Harpoon IPA, still see regular fridge rotation. Fruit in IPA? I would suggest they don't like beer or send them some bud light lime. YRMV.
