Headed to Chigago/Southern Wisconsin, what drink?

Not sure where you'll be exactly, but any Binny's location is a safe bet. If you venture into SE Wisconsin, Woodman's or Tenuta's in Kenosha are both great.

 

New Glarus and Alaskan Brewery in Wisconsin. . Woodman's in Kenosha ( mentioned above) is good. A large grocery store with a large beer selection . They do not take credit cards-- debit or cash. Binny's in Illinois will have great craft selections.

 

Sticking my nose into this thread to second the request for recommendations...

I'll be in Chicago visiting my brother next weekend, and if I know him, he'll have a fridge full of PBR. Luckily, he lives just a few minutes from the Binnys on Clark... any quick recs for easily available, excellent Chicago brews would be appreciated. (Shelf stuff is fine, I'm not looking to max out my credit card on this trip, and I trust the BA hivemind more than a random salesperson at the store.)

 

Pick up some anti hero ipa. It's really good and easy to find.

 

Fist City from Revolution is fantastic. Maybe not as easy to find as Anti-Hero. Half Acre has a lot of great beers as well. Just wander Binny's and you'll find good beer.

 

Look for anything that catches your eye by Pipeworks, Spiteful or Revolution. Binny's around here always have the beginning of one aisle dedicated to local brews so it should be pretty convenient. I'm a few blocks from Binny's on Clark, walk in, go to the beer in the far right of the store and it's the shelves opposite the coolers for the local scene.

 

Revolution can be easily found on tap at most places and I'd suggest Anti-Hero. Also, you may find some Half Acre Daisy Cutter on tap at a few locations...same with Three Floyds Gumball Head.
