I will be attending Mondial again this year (Wednesday. & Thursday) and I am very familiar with all the brewers in the metro area and outskirts up to QC, but am looking for whomever may be brand new. Last year I learned about Naufrageur and Broadway. The year before it was A la Fut. Anyone brand new on the Quebec brewery scene I should look for this year?

You definitly should try la succursale. They have an incredible Kolsch and a wonderful IPA.

Also hopfenstark if you dont already know them. Very good saisons and is Postcolonial ipa is definitly worth it.

Broupub brouhaha as some very good offerings too. Their Gaz de course is pretty good barleywine.

My last suggestion would be Le cheval blanc. Very innovative, worth the try.

I could go on and on with suggestion but this should be a good starting point.
    have a good mondial!
    Cheers!

The only one you mentioned I am not familiar with is La Succursale, so will check them out. Also, I will be looking for Albion that was at Hivernale. I always head to Brouhaha on Thursday after Mondial for smoked duck wings!

I totally forgot about l'albion. One of my favorite place for session ales. The best bitter in Quebec and an awesome porter.

I will also be there on thursday for the off-mondial. Thoses smoked wings are mighty delicious!

Is Wednesday night post-session at DDC as in past years?

    Wednesday- DDC (collaboration night)
    thursday- brouhaha (4th anniversary)
Friday - Cheval blanc (funky bitter night)
    Zero 8 (Gluten free beers)
Saturday - Benelux (ipa cask night, Quebec vs Ontario, 20 cask in total)

Note: the zero 8 is a restaurant specialized in allergy free meal (i hope my sentence makes sense, my english is not perfect).

Are there going to be those amazing beers from B.S.G. at Zero 8, I wonder? I have to leave Friday morning, but will send some friends up who seek gluten-free beers. I missed Cheval Blanc's Friday nighter last year after a too-heavy session at Mondial - went back to the UQAM dorm and fell asleep! :-(

I don't know exactly wich beers are gonna be there but i can bet that B.S.G are gonna be there.

The cheval blanc nighht is one of my favorite. Always lots of fun and good people.... And good beers.

Boquebière has improved in the last year or two and Dunham made some decent hoppy beers so you might want to try them. Brasseurs the Montréal is new this year, some people like them but I personnally don't.

I seriously doubt Albion and La succursale will be there since they're really small operations. La Succursale is downtown MTL so you won't have any problems getting there and is really worth. Albion is not too far but out of town.

Make sure to grab DDC - Solstice d'été (framboise) as it is now available in Quebec beer stores. Have a nice stay!

I forgot about Boquebiere - I love Rouge des Cantons Est in the Hildegarde series - thans for the reminder! And I will be drinkling my last bottle of Solstice d'ete from last year this week, in anticipation of getting more while I am there. I heard Albion is in Joliette, so likely will not have time to get out there.
