worth picking up, but they don't have a tap room, you might be able to get lucky and get registered for a tour, they open tours friday mornings around 8 and they fill up in about 10 minutes. Steel Toe has a great tour that you can just show up for on fridays, Fulton and Harriet in Minneapolis have tap rooms. I am sure local BA's will be down to grab a beer.

Having just moved from Minneapolis to Chicago, I can hook you up.

Surly, Superior, Braui Brothers, Leech Lake and Lift Bridge are good places to start. I would also check out Boom Island as I thought their Dubbel was truly awesome. As far as Breweries go: take a tour of Surly, Harriet, Summit, or Flat Earth. Also you can head on over to Town Hall and grab a burger while you are there, you will not be disappointed by neither the food or the beer.

As far as bars go, Rail Station and Groveland Tap have an absolutely wide selection on tap

If you are in Blaine, a nice little place that doesn't get much BA love is Brick's Pub on the corner of 103rd and Highway 65 (Central Avenue). They have great food and a decent (but unique) taplist. Tuesday nights they have Craft Beer Night, all craft taps and bottles are half off plus trivia and 5 dollar pizzas.

Also, Tournament Liquors on 109th Avenue in Blaine is a decent little shop with a great selection of beer, and it's kind of outta the way for most BAs so limited stuff lasts longer on the shelf there.

Wow, thanks for the detailed info. I'm sure my stay will be much more enjoyable with the insider hook up. Thanks again.

For bars check out The Happy Gnome, and/or The Muddy Pig. Great tap lists
