We are heading to Vermont in July and looking for some good bars to go to that have a good selection of beers. Staying in Burlington and Stowe. Please give me some ideas if you can. We are from PA so looking to try some beers we can't get here very easy.

    Farmhouse in Burlington
Stowe itself will be hit or miss but you're 15 minutes from Waterbury where between Reservoir, Prohibition Pig, and Blackback Pub you'll find the best availability of local brews in the state. Hill Farmstead, Lawson's, Lost Nation, Fiddlehead all generally available at those three, usually with a couple different beers each.

Farmhouse Tap & Grill in Burlington and Prohibition Pig in Waterbury (next town over from Stowe) are the two you absolutely need to hit. If you're staying in Stowe, the Crop has some good beers that they brew in house and Piecasso (also in Stowe) makes some solid pizza and almost always has Heady & other locals available.

I've been i Stowe a couple of times this winter and have been pleasantly surprised how solid Crop and The Bench have been, not up to Waterbury(Pro Pig, Blackback) or Burlinton (Farmhouse and Am. Flatbread) but still not too shabby. At crop, they make a wicked panini type cheesburger thingy to boot.

Yesterdays tap list at The Bench looks decent http://www.benchvt.com/#!about/c7bu

This. Other than that, there's not much you can't get in PA. Consume as much as possible of those.

    Crop's Idletyme DIPA is excellent.

It has not got a ton of play here, but the Prohibition Pig Brewery in Waterbury is the real deal. It's a seperate building behind the Pro Pig Resturant and the brewer is really hitting his stride in a very short amount of time.

Tasty food and comfortable taproom type atmosphere. The kettle is right behind the bar, so you can watch the master work.

The chef-owner of popular Hen of the Wood in Waterbury & Burlington is re-opening what used to be VT Ale House at the foot of tbe Mountain Road in Stowe as a new taproom. The old place stank but I know he'll do it right this time - has quite a reputation to uphold - both locally and nationally. Also, folks who own the Reservoir in Waterbury opened The Bench this winter with excellent wood-fired food and great taplist for a more casual vibe on Mountain Rd.

I'd like to add to the great suggestions visiting Rock Art and Lost Nation. Eat at Lost Nation you won't be sorry. Both places are pretty close to Stowe.

In Waterbury, Craft Beer Cellar is right cross the street from the Pro Pig brewery. Definitely worth stopping in their for a great beer selection.

    Have fun.
