Heady Topper in Southern VT

    Yeah yeah I know... another "where's the beer" question. I will be in Putney/Rockingham this weekend and looking to bring home some heady for my enjoyment. I haven't had it yet!!! My brothers will be in Manchester the same weekend. As a united front, I hope we can find some. Any bottle shops carry it? At the least, find a pint at a bar in the area. Help a brother out.     Rutland used to get 4 packs weekly until about a month ago. They've really drawn the reigns back towrd the brewery til fall. They have a locator on there site for places to buy cans. Good luck!

    The closest place would be Woodstock Hops and Barley in Woodstock, VT, but their website says they are out right now. I would give them a call before heading up there.

    I am in Manchester area for a few days. Went out to look for some but no luck at any of the places I went to. Sorry not much of any help.

    i live in manchester, haven't seen any here since about mid-june. Some restaurants are serving it though. One place in Londonderry called Solo has some. Don't go to Solo though if $ is of concern, you can't walk out of there under $100 for 2 people. The banana belt of southern VT is a much different local beer scene than what you find in the northern half of the state unfortunately...one reason i have a heady topper clone in my kegerator.

    Short answer is NO. Don't expect to find it south of Montpelier at this point. You may on the other hand likely find some Lawson's on tap at the Pizza Stone in Chester which is a short drive up 103 from Rockingham.

    My report back from Vermont: I actually went up to vt because my friend got married to one of the owners of the pizza stone. I brought up some citra IPA home brew as a present. Come to find out, they brought 3 kegs too, PBR, Switchback and. Hillfarmstead Abner. So, I took it as a sign that the beer gods had other plans for me and I was pretty happy to get some Abner-another bucket list beer. Plus, I was too hung over Sunday to function, let alone go beer shopping. One day Heady Topper will be mine. Just another excuse to go have a killer party with old friends.
