Help A Local Brewer! Bare Hands Brewery

    Just wanted to share this info with the Great Lakes beer community. Chris Gerard (the owner/brewer) at Bare Hands Brewery in Granger, IN took a bad fall over the weekend and has been hospitalized. As a small business owner, he's been re-investing in the brewery and managed to provide helath care for his family at the expense of himself.

    His family is looking to raise funds for medical bills as he recovers. If you are looking for a great guy to support, I strongly encourage you to support Chris and Bare Hands.

    Even if you can't help out, I highly recommend you hit up Bare Hands if you are ever in the South Bend area. Great place to have a beer!

    I actually logged in for the first time in a while to post this. A great brewer/father/brewery owner could use some help from the community in this time of need. Every little bit helps.

    I was also logging in to post this link. As a South Bend guy, I can say I have spent many a dollar at Bare Hands and have had plenty of good conversations with Chris. I'm not a personal friend of his, yet if you spend a few hours in his brewery you realize the entire Bare Hands crew treat you like friends and family. This is a talented brewer and a great family man. I hope the BA community can show this family some support in their time of need. I know I will. Cheers.
