I have tried city beer store, the jug shop, and whole foods in SOMA. Any thoughts on where I can find pliny?

Try Toronado, worst case. It's more expensive, at $6 a bottle to go, but they tend to always have it. Worst case, go to Santa rosa.

Whole Foods on 24th in Noe usually has it. Or Plumpjack across the street. Worth a trip to the neighborhood. Cask usually has a bunch at $5 a pop.

Ledger's Liquor in Berekely is the most sure-fire source I know of. You might want to take a drive across the bridge, pick up some pliny, pay a visit to Beer Revolution in Oakland while you're there. (Beer Revolution has it pretty frequenlty, too.)

Thanks all for the suggestions. I found it on draught at 4th street bar and grill in union square area and was pretty underwhelmed, tasted kind of skunky. i then found it in a bottle at a place nearby called cask (they probably have 30 left with bottle date 6/14) and it tasted 100x better.

I don't think 4th Street Bar and Grill takes much pride in fresh beer. We used to go there during March Maddness for liquid lunches and we just figured the lines hadn't been cleaned in years.

Glad you got some, I'm sipping a bottle from the 6/20 bottling. Nice fresh and delicious.

    Cheers.....

Yeah man, Cask always has a bunch (which is why I mentioned it.) I think they get a couple of cases every week and almost never sell out.

Luckily there are a couple places where you can always find fresh bottles near downtown.
