Any suggestions on a good strong beer? I'm a big fan of DFH WWS and 120min but always looking for good suggestions.

haven't tried it; not sure how available it is (i snagged 1 at West Lakeview in Chicago)... but Mikkeller's new black buffalo (black aged in buffalo trace barrels) clocks in at 19.3%

    Tokyo Stout is pretty tasty
    The 3 Avery beasts
+1 to wws and 120 IPA both are great aged, and I recently saw where people make a black and tan from them

looking forward to avery uncle jacobs stout. and their demons of ale are always a good go to for the high abv. unless they are aged though i find them a little unpalatable.

Beat me to the punch, second Avery Mephistopheles' Stout. Adding to the others mentioning WWS.

DFH Raison D'extra @ 18%, if you can find it, fantastic! If not, bring that Utopias over here and we'll share!

I paid $10.99 @ a beer store for '05's in January, so $18's not too bad, as long as they give you a clean glass!

I will jump on here and say Black Tuesday. I am far from a Bruery fanboy, but this beer was great. (Thanks again Brandon!)

De Struise Messy at 39% sadly hasnt, at least to my knowledge, been bottled yet. That stuff was downright delicious and every bit of a stout still, not at all like a utopias etc...
Ask Jeffo I think he had about 10 of them at Borefts last year:slight_smile:
