They’re on Untappd now so probably why the website hasn’t been updated
https://hpb.la/food-menu/ See you Friday Chris.
Oh shoot, the chicken sandwich is a regular menu item? I assumed it was a special. Noice!
Wow we're getting a variety of entrees. Cheers to the new chef for sure.
Oh hell yeah.
BTW, fellas... Not intended as a jab at Fiona at all (again, RIP In Peace), but this sandwich was $14-15 when it was on the menu there (a price that I felt was a little bit high, but I understood-- WeHo pricing to try to keep things afloat... still worth it, and I went back for it multiple times). So no complaining about HPB pricing on this one, mmmkay? Just order it and delight in its majesty. Let's keep these guys doing what they're doing. We're all lucky to have them.
I honestly have no issue with the $9/$10 burger or this $10 chicken sandwich. I definitely have an issue with the $9 pretzel lol. Oh well you win some you lose some, looking forward to the chicken sandwich when I am there next Friday!
Listening to you guys it's like y'all have never eaten out before...
This is what happens when there's nothing more exciting to talk about. No infections. No broken promises. No shortages of beer for members. No mass employee walkouts. No highly anticipated beers that fell flat when finally sampled. It's all good, all the time at HPB.
This, 100% this lol. But seriously, a $9 pretzel?
Well we did have the DDB BIL one earlier but long since taken care of. I'm still wondering what happened with BAGJG b4.... We've already had GJG b5
No, I'm baby
Bring on the funk!
When your pricing is above Disneyland something is wrong
The hot dog is more expensive than a hot dog at dodgers stadium lol. (it is a better quality hotdog, but still $13 for a hotdog is absurd)
It's almost like it costs more for a small business to operate at a higher level of quality.
The complaints of pricing will cease once they cave into our main demand for Chinatown: ELOTE. 'DILLA.
I too am shocked that HPB pricing is more than Disneyland and Dodger Stadium considering they are of equal quality and they all sell the same amount per day. Crazy.
Once HPB builds a rollercoaster in the empty lot across the street everything will fall right into place.
$9 for a pretzel and $13 for hot dog is still ridiculous. But at least I have the fish, chicken, and ground beef sandwiches now so I don't need an overpriced hot dog.
Waketaneous = instawhale.
Agree on all fronts, so glad the new chef is bringing actual entrees to the table.
Not to interrupt the bitching about food prices or anything...
Timbo is one of the most eye opening beers I’ve had in 2019. I’ve had probably more than a hundred beers with Citra + Mosaic. I’ve never had one like Timbo. Zero stank, straight floral citrus. Don’t think I’ve ever stuck my nose in a beer more.
Yeah we all love Timbo and know it is amazing.
So about those hot dogs and chicken sandwiches...
This most recent batch, IMO, is the best by far. Fucking a that beer slaps
I probably went into it with an expectation of what that combo was going to be like and it was so far from that. I feel like it’s hard to find Mosaic that doesn’t stank these days. Had an S&S 6 at HF earlier this year that had none but everything else seems to have that kinda sweaty stench.
The lager yeast probably helps as well...
Definitely going back tomorrow for more!
Hell yeah, I had one last night at the Hermosillo.
The Truth has arrived.
I thought the Good Green IPA was an absolute winner. I got the next-to-last 4 pack at the Hermosillo this afternoon.
And I wasn't a fan of the last batch of Coco Wham IPA but I thought the latest batch was a winner too
On the food front, big fan of the Fiona beef stew, would be nice to see an appearance at HPB.
The Fairfax neighborhood didn't know what they had with Rucker's pies and Pham's food, hope Pham finds a home at HPB
I assume it's a special so I hope it's still there on my weekly Wednesday visit. They've done some great stews and chili over the years!
that's kind of what's happening tonight
What’s happening? I was there around 4 before heading down to SD for the weekend.
YO WHAT IS THIS?!
New chicken sandwich in Chinatown
Hype for Craftsman collab
That latest DDH "Cloud Party" can release is superb
Just saw the foudre and it's still cranking. Hahahah
Just when I thought pretzel prices couldn't get wilder, $13 for a pretzel with smoked gouda and swiss cheese sauce and beer mustard at Breakside Brewery in Portland
So the new chicken sandwich at Chinatown is out of this world good. I was totally skeptical of the combo of odd toppings but it's delicious, they somehow work in perfect harmony. Also, if you don't already know the Ruben fritters at the herm are a real treat. That needs to be a permanent menu item
