BCBS Rare. On tap last weekend. It was good, the aroma reminding me of DL, but the body seemed lighter than normal bourbon country. Not disappointing, but my mind wasn't exactly blown.

Pure Hoppiness. I was not impressed.

I tasted it from a barrel after the brewery tour and wanted to pour it down the drain (of course I smiled and drank it). It tasted like fruit punch mixed with the dregs from a jar of jalapeño peppers. Maybe it needs blending with other barrels before it will appeal to me?

This did not ruin my fond memories of the brewery visit, however. All lovers of beer and/or history should visit, even if lambics aren't really your bag (like me).

As mentioned prior, Stone IRS did nothing for me. And I consider myself a big Stone fan.

Ruination. It's not bad, but I'm certainly not amazed. And I like Enjoy By WAAAAAY more.

    Agree.
Bigfoot (only barleywine I haven't liked), Orval (perhaps it was too fresh, I had it in Brussels), Westy Blonde (perhaps it was too fresh too, I had it at In de Vrede), Palo Santo Marron (way too boozy).

Off the top of my head, Expedition Stout comes to mind. I've enjoyed Kalamazoo significantly more each time for whatever reason.

I was waiting for KBS to knock my socks off, but I believe the suspense killed it for me. Still waiting to revisit a couple bottles from 2010, so we'll see what the future brings.

They are all Meh IMO....Ratings are a great tool but always worth checking out beers for yourself. Ive had many lower rated beers which i find tastier and more enjoyable than these.

After looking forward to Ballast Point coming to my local distribution for a year, when it finally got here I tried a some of everything they sold and it was all either underwhelming or downright mediocre, imo.

On the other hand, when SixPoint came to town I became a fan of literally every beer they sent here other than their most hyped offering, Resin.

First time I had Hill Farmstead was at their camping event last year. I didn't like any of their beers and HATED society and solitude #5. They are growing on me now. Abner is great and Jimmy is absolutely amazing, one of my favorite beers ever.

Tasted fresh twice, PtE was quite average, especially compared to Vermont's stuff. Not bad, just boring... (Replace boring by "balanced" to properly defend this beer as in any PtE thread)

No idea what I was thinking here. Maybe my first can was off, because I had a few more later on and they were pretty good!

As of right now, I'd say Stone Enjoy By. Average rating of 4.39. wtf?? I thought the 5.17.13 basically sucked.

Drink it in Belgium. It is a different beer with only a few weeks under the belt.
