For me, id say PTE, any Enjoy By I've had, and All Day IPA. None of them are horrible, but I was definitely disappointed and they didn't live up to the hype.

My two biggest :astonished: surprises were Edmund Fitzgerald and KBS.

Edmund Fitzgerald just didn't strike me right. Everyone I know said it was a surefire winner but I was over it on my first beer of the sixer. It's probably my least favorite porter of all the ones I've had.

I just recently had my first KBS and I don't think I'll ever pay for it at ~$5 a bottle again (*ducks thrown debris*). It was by no means a bad beer but when I see a BA score of 100 I'm expecting something that makes me go "DAYUM!" especially at that price point and with the hunt required to land it. As it was it just seemed like a slightly "bigger" version of FBS, which I can get almost any time with no drama for a little more than half the price. Give me a night where I drink 2 FBS's any day.

Dark Lord is the most overrated beer I have had, by far. It was simply awful. I truly don't understand why people like it.

Other highly rated beers that underwhelmed me include Bell's Two Hearted Ale, Daisy Cutter Pale Ale and RR Bling Pig.

Decent, but I really don't understand why people rave about it.

Agree with most of these, except for Stone IRS and Parabola. Those 2 blew the hype out of the water IMHO. Oh, and I think PtE only doesn't live up to the hype if you expect it to be a palate wrecker or some thermonuclear hop-bomb, instead of what it actually is - the most fantastically balanced and well crafted DIPA on the market. But tis only my worthless opinion.

And when were Racer 5 and Torpedo super hyped haha? Both great but not exactly w@l3zbr0

I didn't finish my 2013 parabola , there wasn't a problem finishing it last year at all.

Rabbid Rabbit is about the only beer i don't like from 3 floyds. I'm tempted to buy another one this year but i feel i'll regret it. Deesko, their tart berliner weisse might be the only other one of theirs I don't like, just tried it last night....too tart for me.

Spot on. Can't stress this enough, man. Even at a month old, it just tasted like any other malt-forward DIPA. I say, if after a week a beer isn't worth drinking, then why drink it in the first place? I personally think Lunch is the better beer. They don't call it the 'Pliny Killer' for nothing.

    St. Bernardus Abt 12.

Thoroughly underwhelmed. I love the Trappist beers and I expected a lot out of this one. I'm going to try a couple more before I completely write it off but my first two weren't nearly what they were hyped to be.

It was bitter and not well balanced. It tasted more like a black ipa, imho

Let me put on my protective riot gear before I say this in preparation for the stones about to be hurled in my general direction:

Celebration underwhelmed me a lot. It was good, don't get me wrong, but with all the hype and the buildup that goes along with this beer, I found it far less than amazing.

And, honestly, I have to throw Westy 12 into the mix as well. A buddy of mine hooked me up with a bottle a couple years back. Again, good...but not even the best quad I've ever had, never mind best beer in the world.

Funny I love bernardus. Everyone has different taste that's why you have to try them all and make your own judgment. Cheers

My first impression too after my first bottle, I was thinking it's too sweet. But I was wrong, it took about 3-4 bottles to get it, Big dark chocolate bitter finish, lots of bourbon naturally, now it's one of my favorites. It's just a mammoth brew that I think it overwhelms the palate at first.

Had it again on tap Friday evening and was blown away. I loved the bourbon flavor and enjoyed the glass thoroughly. If not for the high alcohol and drive home I surely would've had another. Can't wait to have it again!
