At the last bottle release a month ago or so, people were getting growlers and then jumping back in the middle of the bottle line where a friend was holding their place. Lots of people. Guy right behind me who could have been in the Guiness Book of Records for the world's largest pompadour haircut did it. He probably should have slipped on a hat not to be noticed, although I doubt they make hats big enough.

I was there yesterday (Friday) around 1:20 and waited for almost an hour in line. There was not too many people, just one person working the taps for most of the time. Worth it though.

Ugh, really wanted to try Clara for the first time.

So what's the deal with Geneology? Is it one batch in both barrels, a blend, or are there separate VW bottles and separate BT bottles?

I read it as a blend.

I was hoping to try Clara as well. Hoping more of any bottles get added before the release.

I read Genealogy as one batch in both barrels.

To anyone going up there for the bottle release, I'll be driving up from Illinois and am interested in doing some IP trades for HF and/or Lawson's bottles (especially Double Sunshine) and some HF glassware. BM me if interested.

NOOOOOO gad damn lab got rescheduled and I can't make it  :**(

Well If anyone is passing by Hanover,NH/Dartmouth college on the way back home, and felt like hooking up a sad fellow BA with a bottle of either, I would love to do a bottle-share/ trade/reimburseyou/sexualfavors/justletmestarelonginglyathebottles type thing. Put up an ISO but pickitupformebros tend to fall on deaf ears.

Can't make it up but would love to snag a bottle of either Genealogy or Phrenomology (or both). I have bottles from the last 2 HF releases to offer. Let me know.

Looks like I'll be getting there around noon, noon thirty. I'm ok with waiting, even if that's the "worst time",but the Alchemist opens at 11, and we're going there first there's still gonna be great beer, and it's gonna be damn well worth the wait. I'm gonna bring some beer with me for trading purposes while I'm there, maybe catch some other great stuff. I'll be "Drink First, Pork later"
Hope to see some of you there!

Stopped by today for my first visit and waited about 40 minutes for seven growlers. For anyone else visiting for the first time, you should know:
    1) much of the area has no cell service with AT&T, so know exactly how to get there before leaving.
    2) if using a GPS for directions, DO NOT TAKE HIGHLANDER STREET! After a 20 minute drive down an increasingly narrower and bumpier dirt road, we met a downed tree and had to backtrack the whole way back up the dirt road! Not fun in a minivan with 6 hungry kids (not that a minivan with 6 kids is ever fun....).
    3) Bring cash; they didn't take credit cards.

Besides the traffic adventures, totally worth the trip; enjoying my first Edward right now...

Oh lord, I think I ended down that street (sans the downed tree). My buddies and I actually build the road as we went so we could get through. Insane.

Everyone have fun up there today! I can't make it, but a friend is heading up so I'm hoping to get a bottle of each nonetheless.

Someone try the Nelson IPA today and report back. Absolutely can't wait to try that one. What a gorgeous day for a road trip to HF, couldn't ask for anything better than this. Enjoy the ride.

Also, notice the tease of Flora with cherries? I'll pick up a trailer full of mules from the farm next door to head up for that one. They make a mess, but so worth it.

I was there yesterday for growlers and I'm seriously considering heading back up from waterbury today. I might head up later in the day and hope the line dies down for bottles.

Bottle lines should* be pretty calm most of the day. By having a dedicated line separate from growlers, it should go pretty quickly, per how it went during the last release. Might be a short wait early on.
