I have no doubt that the staff would appreciate any form/show of appreciation (monetary or non-monetary). I want to be clear, they do not ask for tips, but as beer geeks we often demand a lot and I appreciate the fact that the guys and gals at Hill Farmstead are always courteous no matter how their day has gone. Regardless of who it is, they always answer every question even when they're busy (e.g. Shaun attempting to clean a tank with 15 people asking him about when X will be released).

All things worth the effort are worth equally the experience of the journey, my good friend.

You have the RR growler? I was really surprised it was as packed as it was today. I had never been so didn't know what to expect.

Yup, that was me. It was crazy yesterday, but with I think it has to do with it being close to a holiday and Juicy being there. I've been many other Saturdays, gotten there at noon and been in and out in 20 minutes or less.

I drove over from Portland and ended up getting there ridiculously early (about 10a). It was nice to have a few quiet hours to take in the scenery. Beautiful day, incredible location.

Spoke with some friendly BAs from VT and NY while Shaun's aunt's golden retriever (?) went around soaking up affection.

When I went this past summer, I was slowed down by traffic/construction in ME and a moose sighting in NH. It was smooth sailing this time around. I was out by 12:05, at which point the line was just out door... maybe 40 people with about 20 cars?

I'm still looking for Juicy. If anyone has one for trade, let me know what it would take.

who was the BA with the sweet mustache? He bought tons of stuff and like 100 bucks in stemware. The guy behind him in the red north face purchased a lot too.

Pretty sure I pulled in right next to you, saw the Maine plates and was instantly greeted by a very friendly golden retriever that Shaun's Aunt eventually came to get. Charlie was a very nice dog.

I'm the Red North Face guy - my wife and I did the 14.5 hr round trip yesterday so we made it count.

I posted what I ended up with in the Hauls thread: http://beeradvocate.com/community/t...-of-your-latest-haul.136/page-159#post-649741

Warren General Store, it's about 20 minutes from exit 9 on i-89 is your best bet. On Friday you might do well at Hunger Mountain Co-op in Montpelier, which is closer to the highway than Warren General.

Wish I checked in on this thread before opening a bottle of Juicy 40min ago. Lost a few precious ML's. Juicy and Susan are beyond belief. Juicy is the complete package. Very much a Wild creature as noted on the label. Susan smells so good I could just sniff all day without even taking a sip, but that would be silly. Can't think of the better time to hit HF than now. In addition to those two they had S&S5 and Abner pouring too and you can buy as many bottles of Twlight, Anna and Arthur as you want. FTR: Carrie is the young lady that was pouring with Phil yesterday. She also works at Parker Pie. Wife loves Juicy... I see a quarrel coming  We dropped $400+ yesterday and still wishing I bought more. Grabbing an Ephraim at Parker Pie on the way out was icing on the cake. Going to take a lot of restraint to not head up again next weekend, but since I'm headed to SoCal (including Alpine, Bruery et al) Monday after Thanksgiving I should probably hold off. Will obviously need to hit it ASAP after I get back from CA. BoT...

It will definitely still be there on Friday. CD5 and Genealogy lasted about a couple weeks and they were lower bottle counts (300 and 350 respectively compared to 900/2=450). They are expecting Juicy to last around the same, maybe slightly longer.

I grabbed some the warren store...the guys working there were great and knew I was up and would be going all over the state for beer. They found it amusing.

I would figure they'd come across people doing that on a regular basis.

There are several hundred bottles of juicy remaining. Will easily make it Wednesday and Friday of this week - and most likely a large portion of the day on Saturday.
