Hoof Hearted Brewing (2017)

The whole shitshow and their attitude of "we don't care" will continue until there's another brewery in Ohio that can do a decent job with the style. HH beers are still inconsistent, all their beers at the brewpub have a saisony/belgian taste, and the food is horrible. Yet they'll keep banking because they're the only ones with the closest thing compared to the NE breweries. It's either that, trade, or drive to closest options in Pittsburgh or Lansing (Brew Gentlemen and Old Nation respectively).

 

I would say this statement is fairly accurate. At least not 100%. Most of the beers were like Musk. Unfiltered, but not a NE haze/juice. The first SoE collaboration with the daily growler was a mostly clear beer and the original Draggonsaddle looked, and tasted more like Hop Ju Ju than orange juice.

I don't have any pictures of the South of Eleven from the summer of 2015, but it pretty much went the same way as these

It's difficult to reproduce an accident with consistency.

I guess I don't understand all the angst. Get a ticket and get your beer. If you don't like the crowd go later in the afternoon and there will be no line. If you can't make it have a buddy grab your allotment. I don't know what else I could ask for. Also, in my experiences I have never had anything but pleasant interactions with the staff at Marengo and have never felt like they don't care. I've met a lot of good people there and enjoy the camaraderie. Are there assholes, hoarders and line cutters? Certainly, but they are definitely in the minority. Lots of good people there drinking hazy, inconsistent, sophomoric beer having a good time. See you at Key Bump!

I don't know, you have any data to back this up? I see a lot of hazy beers from established breweries, and why not, have some fun, make money, play the trend, and if it doesn't last, so what, move on.

Data? What kind of data do you expect? Want me to see if any of the brewers I know who've said they'll never brew NEIPA have any bar graphs and charts about why that's their opinion?

I'm not a name dropper so you'll just have to take my word for it when I said a lot of Ohio brewers have said they don't play that Haze game.

 

Well they should because it tastes good and isn't that all that matters

 

And that link you posted is just the opinion of the creators of this site and has no bearing on beer in the outside world, so I hope you don't think it some how refutes what I said about a few certain brewers' stance on the subject.

I didn't say it was my opinion anyway. And I didn't say you weren't entitled to your opinion, which at this point, for whatever reason, seems to be that there are no brewers who will never brew a NEIPA.

I don't name drop. People representing businesses don't want others running around speaking on their behalf in open forums. I think that's something quite a few users here could do well to respect.

 

I've got a program that will turn bar graphs into pie charts, so just let me know once you've got the bar graphs and I'll crunch the numbers into the program. Everyone loves pie charts.
