I love that they are dry hopped with different hops.

I noticed, too, that JJTaylor in Tampa and surrounding markets are shipping "Ahtanum", even when you order "Citra". It's disappointing, and shouldn't be shipped, if not ordered. My customers prefer "Citra". I guess JJT needs to unload back stock?

Just tried the experimental hop #529. It's good but Citra is still the best of the bunch, can't get enough of that stuff!

I tried it on draft on Sunday and didn't like it. By far my least favorite of the Hopped on the High Seas variants. I'm not a huge IPA guy but I do really enjoy the Citra and consider it (along with White Oak Jai Alai) to be in my personal top 5 IPAs

Still haven't seen Citra down in Miami/FTL.

Just tried 529. Such a deep earthy flavor. Loved it. I can't compare to citra (I thought was fantastic) as they were so different. Glad I have enough of both to enjoy equally! I know age takes its toll but I've put away two of each released so far. Can't wait to try all in one sitting.

They have both the Ahtanum and Citra at lion eagle in boca, really neat to try them both side by side. Citra blew it away, just picked up a 6 pack of #529 at total boca, curious to try it

I still think that for the next batch CCB needs to brew up a ton and then break it up into 6 different batches to dry hop with a different hop so they can release a mixed 6 pack. How awesome would it be to be able to try 6 different fresh versions of Hopped on the High Seas side by side.

Hell, even a 4 pack would be awesome. I'd pay the same price for a "sampler" 4 pack as I pay for the 6 packs now

Found #529 in Miami but never saw Citra :slight_frown: 529 is my least favorite so far.

CCB is releasing the new version of this series w/ Kohatu hops. "Tropical fruit flavors with pineapple and lime standing out."

Looking forward to trying this. I enjoyed the Simcoe and Experimental Hop #529 versions...unfortunately didn't get to try the Citra which I hear was the best.

The Citra was the best version they've done. Wayne Wambles was in Boca a few weeks ago and was saying he thinks it's one of the best beers they've made. And then from that, they went to the X-Hop which is the worst version of it so far I think. It was still good though. I think all of the High Seas so far blow away Jai Alai.

I thought the Simcoe was a lot better than the X-hop 529. I prefer Jai Alai to both actually, but the Citra might change my mind. I hope they brew that one again.

Gotta agree with you on this for the most part. Jai Alai is still my favorite, the only one I thought gave it a run for it's money was Citra. Kohatu sounds really good though so I'm looking forward to that bad boy!
