No not singles as in trying to hook up at a bottle shop but rather bottle shops that sell single bottles (non-bombers) of beer. :astonished:
I'm coming back home to Houston for a few days and want to stock up on a variety of Texas brews to ship and haul back. It's amazing how number of Texas breweries has exploded over the last 4 years since I moved out to Seattle.
I’m of course familiar with Specs on Smith and D&Q (Can’t remember if D&Q sells singles?) but wanted to know if there are any other shops that might sell singles around town? I'll between Conroe and Houston for the most part but I'm willing to travel a bit if needed. Definitely hitting the Specs and D&Q. Just trying to diversify what I bring back. Seems like some HEBs and maybe Kroger sold build your own six packs but the selection was limited.

    Thanks for the help!

D&Q probably has the best singles selection in town...so yeah go there. There are a handful of growler stores that all sell primarily single bottles outside of what they have on tap. Premium Draught, Growlers Beer and Wine To Go, and Jugs (Jugs hopefully has filled their cooler since the last time I was there). That is the best for singles inside the loop. I am sure various Kroger, HEB and Whole Foods will have good selection as well.

Agree with Premium Draught, Growlers and Jugs being your best options in addition to D&Q.

Specifically, the new Whole Foods on Post Oak has a good single bottle selection.

Thanks for the info. Greatly appreciated.

@ajaylock, thanks again for the Yellow Rose. It's was delicious. On par with anything up here in the PNW or West Coast. Definitely on my shopping list and will likely hit the brewery on Saturday if able.

Kroger on 11th recently expanded their singles selection. Lots available for a mix six.

Thanks for all the help guys. I ended up hitting the Smith street Specs, D&Q and Central Market. Picked up a few Yellow Rose bottles. I didn't see any bottling dates but one bottle from D&Q had 3-18-15 written on it. No other bottles had this. Any ideas? Maybe a date the brewery wrote for tracking? I don't think D&Q would have written it but who knows.

D&Q writes the dates on the bottles when they get the cases in. :grinning: They don't bottle date otherwise, I don't think.

Awesome, thanks. I can't find any other dating. Either way, it's pretty dang fresh.

A lady I work with's husband is opening a store in the Clear Lake area just a couple miles right down the street from Nobi Public house. It is going to be a growler fill station as well as a bottle store. It is set to open in Mid-May. website below:

That is going to be about a two minute drive from where my wife works.

Not that she'll enjoy picking me up beer from there.
